I sat there and starred at the ring on my finger smiling.

"In love ass" Kay said sitting beside me resting her head on my shoulder.

"Girl whatever you gonna be in love one day too"

"Sure" She said playfully.

I smiled.

"I'm happy your happy though, I remember the day Ry asked all of us"

"He did that?" 

"Yeah, one day you went to grammy's and he stayed with us till you got back, we was watching films and he showed us the ring, of course the twins and Ky played the protective roll but you engaged now so you know Ry slick" She said laughing and looking into space as if she was remember the day.

"He's sweet for that"

"He is but mum..."

"Yeah Kay?"

"What does this mean for you and dad?"

"What you mean what does it mean?"

"Like once the ring was on your finger dad turn anti, I went to talk to him and he straight up blanked me and on top of that we haven't seen him since your birthday which was a month ago"

I shook my head. 

"Baby, he just needs time me and ya dad are cool he just busy ya know?"

She shrugged.

"Whatever" She said before getting up and leaving me in the room alone.

I sighed and decided to flip through the stations on tv till I found fresh prince of bel air.

"Can we talk?"

I looked back seeing Kaiden standing at the living room entrance.

"Whatever" He took that as a signal to come in and sit down.

"What's the attitude for?"

"You haven't seen ya kids in a month and Kay now telling me you ignored her on my birthday? Wussup with that?"

He wiped his hand down his face and groaned.

"Man Paris I just got a lot on my mind right now iyte?"

"Like what? Joanne?"

"Df she have to do with this?"

"I mean you haven't been round in a month you must be bust keeping her happy huh?"

"What does that have to do with you?"

"Nothing I'm happy just don't keep my kids hopes up if you out there fucking" I said nonchalantly.

"Man they my kids too stop acting brand new cah you all engaged and shit" He said with complete attitude.

I laughed.

"Why you in here bothering me? Boy bye go see ya kids the upstairs"

"I'm not done talking"

"But I am"

"I swear ya fucking voice irks me"

I laughed again.

"Then get the fuck outta here and cater to ya kids, you didn't have to come in here"

"Fuck you man" He mumbled before leaving the room.

I shook my head and put my attention back on the tv, nothing was gonna ruin this for me.

"Man I'm proud of you little bro" My older brother Reon said.

I smiled.

"He ain't lying son, we see this female really changed you"

"She has" I admitted. "Without her I can honestly think I would be dead"

Mum shook her head wiping her eyes.

"Well I'm glad your not" She croaked.

"Man mum stop crying" I said walking over and hugging her.

Its been a while since I decided to visit my family, with Paris nagging at me to invite them to the wedding I wouldn't have the guts to step into this house again.

"I love you baby" She said pulling herself together.

"I love you too" I said kissing her forehead.

I felt my phone vibrate and pulled it out seeing I got a text. I sighed.

"Well I got to go"

"We better get a invite nigga" Reon said playing nudging me.

"Man dw about that, yall know I got you" I said before dapping him and dad.

"You keep safe iyte yougin" Dad said.

"Ain't I always?" I said giving mum one last hug.

I picked up my cars and left sitting in my car starring at my phone.

Dre - you sure?

Since that tea spilling me and Andre seem to have built some sort of friendship. I sighed one last time before replying.

I put my car in ignition and was off.
