I could watch Gabby with our children day in day out and never get bored. She was such an incredible women, and an amazing mother. Our son was now 8, and reminded me everyday of myself. Gabby had returned to work a year after Lucas was born and she was happy. We never really spoke about, or planned to have another baby. Then we received the most unexpected news of our lives, another little one was on its way. Far from planned, but he or she would be just as loved. Our little girl was bought into the world 3 years ago from today, and she is a spitting image of her mother. She is way to clever for her own age already. Gabby still hasn't mentioned going back to work, I think she really enjoys being home with Elousie and being able to pick up Lucas from school.

As my little girl walked over to me I picked her up into my arms and spun her around, "Happy Birthday my beautiful girl," I kissed her head and she smiled. "Fank's daddy."

My little girl was three, I can't believe three years ago Matt and I bought her into this world. I haven't been back to work, but I spend a fair amount of time at the firehouse when Matt is on shift, just doing things there. Ellie loves it. She's been looking forward to today for a few weeks now, since the first time Kelly mentioned her birthday about a month ago. "Alright little miss, let's get you into your party dress before we go out." "Where we go mummy?" She asked sweetly as Matt placed her in my arms. "That's a surprise," I tickled her and she squealed with delight. "Let's go."

She had picked a dress to wear on her birthday when we were walking through the shops last week. She told me she had to be as 'pretty as a princess.' It's becoming harder and harder to say no to her. Her adorable face and big brown eyes.

Gabby came down with stairs looking slightly flustered a little later, but still stunning. "What's wrong?" I asked her but she shook her head, "nothing, this dress is just tighter than I remember it being." "I think you look stunning," I said with a smile as I placed a delicate kiss behind her ear lobe. "And you my princess, look like a very special sparkly princess today," I smiled lifting Ellie into my arms. "Daddy I'm the princess and mummy is the queen." "I know and you both look beautiful. Should be go to your birthday surprise?" "Yes yes yes!" She squealed. "Alright let's go."

We made it to the car and I buckled both the kids in and we drove to the firehouse where the men were waiting. "Alright my darling let's get you inside to see everyone," Gabby smiled picking her up out of the car along with her bag. "Come on Lucas," I smiled as he got out. As we walked into the common room I smiled. The guys had put up balloons and some banners. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLIE!" They all cheered. I laughed as Ellie squealed with delight  gabby placed her down in the ground and she ran straight into Shays arm with a smile before being handed present after present. "Happy Birthday princess," I smiled.
