"What?" I asked looking at her. "I'm pregnant," she repeated. "Nat couldn't clear me for work because I'm pregnant." He face was so emotionless I couldn't even guess how she was feeling. "That's great news isn't it?" I smiled taking her hands. "I- I don't know." "Why? What's wrong?" "It's so unexpected Matt, I was planning on going back to work." "I know but you don't have too, financially we are stable, the kids are fine, we can do this." "But- what- what if?" "Gabriela do not even go there. You will not loose this baby." "You don't know that Matt," she whispered with tears in her eyes. "Gabby we will do everything in our power- it's going to be okay." "I can't do it again Matt. I can't." "We won't. The doctors know, you can take the extra vitamins and stuff. We can keep healthy." "And what about the kids. Can we really hands another one?" She rested her head against my shoulder and I rubbed a hand up and down her back. I can't believe I'm going to be a father, have another little baby. It's going to be amazing. "What did Nat say?" I asked pulling my head away so I could see her. "9 weeks. Due Jan 5." "Wow, that's incredible," I said placing a hand on her flat stomach and she smiled. I finally felt like I'd calmed her enough she could be excited about this. "Let's not tell the others about this yet okay? I want to wait at least a few more weeks." "Of course. No one knows you were thinking about coming back to work anyway." "Shay does, I saw her this morning." "Well tell her the results don't come out till next week, she'll forget about it." She smiled. I gently picked up Ellie off the couch and she snuggled in my arms while Gabby grabbed her bag and herded Lucas into the car with all his things. "Bye Lucas, have a good day with mum okay? Listen to her and don't answer back." He nodded and I kissed his head before Ellie's. "I'll see you tomorrow morning Gabs," I whispered kissing her gently.
