19.Gargoyle

     She sat on the roof, excited and impatient.
     She sketched until the sun allowed her no longer, restlessness grew into irritation as her foot began to tap.
     "Goddamn liar. Not showing up again, I'll kick Tino's ass I swear." Her mumbled talking was the only thing that filled the vacant area.
     "You will, will you?"
     She gasped and whipped around to be met with the snarky face of Tino Cabellie.
     "You asshole! I waited four hours for you to come! Four!"
     "Four? Aracely, you know that I don't wake until dusk."
     "So?! I always hope you'll wake up early, or you'll already be awake, o-or something."
     A crooked smile graced Tino's features. "You're a cute little shit, you know that?"
     "Shut up."
     Tino's gaze caught sight of the sketchbook shielded by Aracely's arms. "May I have a look?"
     She handed it over sheepishly. Tino thumbed through the pages, surprised by how life-like each drawing was. "These are amazing, babe. You drew all of these?"
     "Yeah."
     One picture in particular made him chuckle.
     "What's so funny?"
     "This." Tino pointed to a rough sketch of what appeared to be them; Aracely on Tino's back as he soared through the night sky.
     "Don't look at that!" She ripped the pad from Tino's hands, protectively cradling it against her chest. "It's embarrassing."
     "I think it looks good, babe. Real life-like."
     Aracely's head bowed as her face heated. Tino smiled and nudged her arm, to which she responded by gazing upwards.
     "You ready to go?"
     "Totally."
     Tino bent down and she took this opportunity to jump on his back. He held on tightly to her legs and outstretched his wings.
     "Ready?"
     Aracely lightly tapped his waist with her sneaker. "Hell yeah! Let's go!"
     Tino pushed himself off and shot into the dark night like a speeding bullet, Aracely's features painted with joy in the pale moonlight.

     A/N: Writing this I was reminded of Gargoyles. Ah, good times. Some of the other stories have weird format, and I'll fix that once done with the series. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed! :D
