Chapter Six

"Say cheese!"

"No fair! Andy he's going on his tippy toes!"

"I cant be shorter than a girl!"

"That's mean! Girls can be tall too!"

"Drew is taller than you! I want to be tall too!"

"Kids, I just need one picture of you two and then I can go take a nap. Jared, Just stand will you?"

"Dad you always take her side!"

"That's because he loves me more!"

"No!"

Olivia was sat on her sofa taking a bite off her sandwich. It was the day after Jared's 'breakdown' as she called it, and she was getting ready to leave for school. She had made up her mind to avoid Jared till he personally comes and apologizes to her. 

When she walked out, she realized she had forgotten to ask one of her friends to give her a ride. Deciding that this meant taking the bus, she was about to walk to the bus stop when she heard a loud 'honk' behind her.

She turned around

'What the hell'

"Are you getting in or what?" Jared asked, with an impatient look. 

She got into the car and stared at him like he had grown two heads, three tails, five hands which all had eight fingers on them.

"Why are you giving me a ride?" She asked in a tone of confused annoyance.

"Did you not need a ride?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Yes, but I usually get a ride with my friends." She replied curtly and looked out of the window.

He sighed.

"Look Liv, I'm sorry okay?" He said.

'Well that was faster than I thought'

"I know you are. Don't need to hear it." She continued to look out the window. She couldn't look at his face. She was afraid to trigger him again and cause a scene this early in the morning.

He took that as a sign that he had to leave her be for a while.

When he entered the parking lot and parked his car, she didn't even bother saying bye. She got out, gave him a half wave and walked towards Ash and Jake who she had spotted near Jakes car. Ash was busy typing frivolously into her phone.

"Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed girl?" Jake asked.

"Is it that obvious?" Olivia sighed.

"It's pretty obviously you're annoyed. Care sharing?" Jake said.

Before Olivia could say anything,  Ash pulled her aside and said, "Oh my god! I need your help."

"What's up?" Olivia asked , her face squinting a little with worry.

"Drew's father is getting remarried and Drew asked ME to help with the arrangements! This is a step towards my dream job!"

Olivia smiled widely and said, "You're going to be the best wedding planner love, don't worry!"

Then she stopped.

'Wait'

'Oh God no'

'Jared's mom'

'DREW'

"Ash I'll meet you in a few minutes I need to talk to Drew about something" Olivia said, to which Ashleigh replied, "You're obviously invited to the wedding too, and you can bring a date is what he told"
