Olivia parked her car on Jared's driveway, and got out of it, having made up her mind to check up on how he was.
She had been trying to contact him, trying to find out why he disappeared from her house that day.
Was that how he fell ill?
She walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. Andy opened the door.
"Hey Ollie, come on in. Been a while since I saw you"
"Hey Andy, I heard Jared was sick, so I came to check up on him"
"Sure, you know where his room is, I'm making Mac and cheese, want?"
"I would love to" She smiled and walked upstairs to Jared's room. She opened the door and walked in, immediately saying "How did you fall sick you goof"
"Why do you never knock? I could've been in a compromising position."
She felt her cheeks heat up and she said, "I knew you're sick I hardly think you have the energy to spend on compromising moments."
"I meant dress-changing. What's going on in that dirty mind of yours Liv" and he burst out laughing, followed by a fit of cough.
"Serves you right. How are you?" And she sat down beside him.
"Better than I was day before. I got really sick and was puking a whole lot and the doctor had to be called for a house visit because I couldn't get up and now the fever and nausea is gone but the cold is still there."
Olivia cringed. Although she knew vomit was a natural process to clear the body of something that isn't digestible or good, she found it disgusting.
"Sorry" Jared said, remembering her hate towards it.
"Why didn't you return my calls or messages?"
"I didn't want you to know"
"Why"
"Because you are a little worrywart. It doesn't matter if it's a scratch or me falling off a building the reaction would be exactly the same."
"Sorry for caring" she said and he chuckled.
"How was school for a week without me? It took you a week to realize something's up huh?"
"In my defense, you have been acting rather unpredictable. I wouldn't know what's what. Plus, You don't speak to me in school remember?" She said, raising her eyebrows.
"Yeah but, I know you used to stare at me from afar, probably drooling over how amazing I look" and he raised his eyebrows this time, smirking widely.
Olivia blinked a few times, processing what he just said, then told, "I don't" in the most confused blank expression ever.
But she didn't know it. It was always second nature to check what he was doing. She never even noticed or registered that she was looking at him until someone stopped her.
"I know I'm eye candy for you bab-"*Cough Cough*
Olivia started laughing and said, "I think it's best for both of our health and sanity that you shut up and come down and eat Mac and cheese with Andy and I"
"Oh so you're eating with us eh?"
"Uh, YAS" she said, grinning.
"Try not to stare at me this time at least" he grinned.
"I don't stare at you."
Olivia realised just then that since she had returned, most of her time and energy was spent on finding out and fixing everything with Jared. She had become completely obsessed about it and it seemed to be rather unhealthy at this point.
