Olivia and Jared were standing near Olivia's locker, The former speaking about dolphins while the latter was taking things out of her locker.

"Honestly dolphins are the most adorable creatures ever but Ashleigh just seems to hate them"

Olivia just nodded, she felt exhausted, it didn't make sense because it was ten in the morning and she had gotten nine hours of sleep, yet she felt like she was carrying two hundred pounds of weight and was going to faint any moment.

"You okay? You look very weak" Jared immediately said, placing a hand on the small of her back.

"Yeah I'm fine, just tired."

"Liv, you haven't been eating properly either, Ashleigh, your mom, and even Maria noticed it. What's going on? Everything alright?" He asked.

She looked at him with a harsh expression, angry that while she was already as exhausted as she was he was adding onto the annoyance by questioning her like a cop does to a criminal.

But when she noticed the lines on his forehead, how his eyebrows were joined due to his expression of pure worry, her expression softened. He was, after all, only caring for her.

"I'm alright, I don't know really I just don't feel much hungry, maybe it's just loss of appetite, it'll come back soon" she replied.

"Oh, okay" he replied, but he didn't seem much convinced.

"Hey guys" they heard a voice address to them.

"Hey Mike" Olivia replied, her face immediately brightening up because of her smile. She didn't know why but Micheal managed to make her smile and cheer her up a little too easily. She barely knew him anymore but they just seemed to, fit.

"Olivia, I wanted to ask, what are you doing on Friday?"

"Uh, I'm not really sure, why?"

"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to go bowling with me?"

Before Olivia could respond, Jared intervened and said, "You do remember the last time she tried to bowl she threw the ball backwards onto Drew's leg and we had to take him to the emergency room right?"

Mike laughed and Olivia turned a bright red.

"That, was an accident! It slipped from my fingers." She tried defending herself when Mike said, "Oh yes, I also remember you freaking out like a three year old who lost all his candy to a cow."

Olivia's expression turned into an amused one when she heard that comparison then said, "I'd love to go bowling with you"

Mike smiled and said, "Cool, well for now, can I walk you to your class?"

"I'm actually heading for the library but you could walk me there" she replied.

Jared rolled his eyes.

It wasn't because he was jealous or annoyed. He loved Olivia purely as his best friend and partner in crime. He even approved of Micheal as her boyfriend, but what he didn't approve of, was PDA. He found it disgusting, although ironically he practiced it the most.

"Before you two lovebirds begin to make me puke, I'm off for class. See you guys at lunch, Bye!" And walked off.

Olivia laughed before she realized that he had called them lovebirds, and immediately had the tinge of pink colour her cheeks.

They walked silently towards the library, both smiling at their close proximity, she really liked him. He was different yet so similar and she couldn't help but get drawn to Mike.

"Umm, I don't want to sound creepy, I swear stop me if you're uncomfortable, but I just wanted to tell you something" he said, breaking the silence.

"Go on" Olivia said, her heart beating a little harder and faster than usual.

"I really like you Olivia, like, I know its only been two weeks since I returned and its been years since we last hung out and i know we changed over time but i just really like you and i ..."

Olivia got on her tiptoes and kissed Micheal, partly because she liked him back but also because it was a great way to make him stop ranting.

"That.. umm.. yeah.. cool" were the only words Micheal could speak. She had taken him by surprise and she absolutely loved seeing him so speechless.

"I like you too, you dork"

The smile on their faces was reaching one ear to another

The silence this time was far from awkward. It was a welcoming peaceful one, a silence that sealed what had just happened. She smiled even wider when he took her hands into his own. Usually she read these things in story books, she used to laugh at how cliche and completely unbelievable such moments seemed, to her, such relationships didn't actually exist, the fairytale kind. But somehow, she had managed to get into one.

They seated themselves on a small window seat in the library and whispered away in endless conversation, both desperately trying to stop time, to hold onto that moment, to never stop talking to each other the way they were.

It was good. It felt good. Too good to be true.
