the next day, everyone met in the west wing again. but something wasn't quite right.

ryan was quieter than usual.

"ry, are you alright?" brendon asked after a while of talking with lynn. ryan shook her head.

"none of us are alright," ryan whispered. ariel tilted his head curiously.

"what do you mean?" ariel asked nervously.

"i overheard ms. ledger and ms. momsen talking," ryan said, glancing around the corridor as if the teachers could be there any moment. "they said something about this place being fake. they don't want here to help us, they want to take our powers and use them to their advantage." everyone's eyes widened.

"you know too much," an unfamiliar, monotoned voice said. a girl with blonde hair grabbed ryan's arm and dragged her out of the corridor. everyone looked at each other with wide eyes.

"i have an idea," ariel muttered. he shut his eyes and concentrated. when he opened his eyes, everyone else was frozen in place. he stood up and ran down the corridor, searching for ryan and the blonde woman.

ariel nearly screamed when he saw the blonde woman nearly forcing ryan to swallow several pills, but they were frozen in place. ariel had stopped time at the right time. any later, and may not have been any saving ryan.

ariel walked toward ryan, pulling her frozen body away from the blonde woman's grip. he carried ryan bridal style toward the west wing, but was stopped when a familiar hooded man stepped in front of him.

"what the hell?" ariel exclaimed. "you're supposed to be frozen!" the man clasped his hand over ariel's mouth. ariel let out a muffled scream.

"your powers aren't strong enough to work against me. your little friends might just be frozen in time forever," the man whispered before ariel fainted.
