the group had gotten queen acumen, which apparently was named taylor, and left rhyme and reason. but first they stopped at a merchant to get something to eat, because the group hadn't eaten much that day.

while everyone was eating, ariel seemed to have disappear.

ash was first to notice that ryan was oddly pale.

"ryan, are you alright?" ash asked, but her voice sounded less than sympathetic. but ryan was feeling too dizzy to focus on it.

"uh, not r-really," ryan slurred. her eyes became bleary, blood seemed to be dripping from her nose, and she was completely disoriented.

"ryan, fuck, what happened?" halsey exclaimed. "oh my god, that doesn't-"

"calm down, hals," melanie mumbled. "she'll be okay, right? i think she'll be-" melanie was cut off by the sound of ryan emptying the contents of her stomach. "alright, so she might not be okay." lynn glared at melanie. ryan was becoming more and more ill as the group watched in horror, not knowing what to do.

ryan soon fainted. or, more than fainted. when dallon checked her pulse, she was gone.

"guys, uh, ryan uh, she's not..." dallon stammered. the group seemed to understand what dallon was trying to say. sobs and murmuring could be heard from the group. even hayley and queen acumen had tears in their eyes.

"well, uh, at least she'll be with brendon again," gabe muttered. ash seemed unaffected by the situation. she stood in the back of the group, nearly smirking.
