pretty soon, the whole group was hiding in trees, bushes, and wherever else.

everyone went completely silent when footsteps came. ariel stayed completely still behind the bush he'd hid behind. but something about hiding behind a green bush while having bright pink hair screams "bad idea."

the footsteps came closer to ariel and he sighed. he knew well that he'd been found.

lynn watched the scene unfold and groaned mentally. they knew that if they had taken the gun they could've saved ariel.

ariel felt his arm being grabbed and looked up to see a tall figure looming over him.

"h-hi," ariel mumbled timidly.

"where the hell are the rest of you?" ariel quickly created a lie.

"well, it's a crazy story really." ariel glanced at lynn and pointed south, signaling for them to run that way. it took a while, but lynn got the message and grabbed everyone. the group quietly ran off while the guard was distracted. "first, we had to cross a lake! we lost three people there. then, we had to fight off wolves!" ariel continued distracting the guard until the group was out of sight. "-and, oh my god! look over there!" ariel yelled. the guard turned around and ariel bolted away.

the guard groaned and chased after him.
