Goldenpaw felt the leaves crunch beneath her paws while she ran. She was on the trail of a vole, but it had gotten too far away to sent. Goldenpaw slowed to a walk and opened her mouth to try to catch its scent. Instead of the prey scent she was expecting, she caught the scent of another cat. She stiffened and crouched in defense. The, suprised, she stood up and sniffed again. It was a ThunderClan cat! But not one she recognized. A beautiful tortishell she-cat walked into view. "Who are you?" Goldenpaw asked, relaxing. "My name is Spottedleaf, little one. StarClan sent me to talk to you." The she-cat said. "StarClan? But I thought they only spoke to medicine cats and their apprentices. You must have mistaken me for my sister Leafpaw." Glodenpaw said sitting down. "No, little one. It is you we need to speak with, and quickly. You have very little time. a secret surrounds you, that you must know. The importance of it hides in your leader's heart, and will soon change him. There is a mystery about it that you must solve. A great journey stands ahead of you. Go, learn the truth about yourself, and do it quickly!" Spottedleaf's image started to fade. "Wait!" Goldenpaw yelled. "How do I start?" "When the moon is only half full, know what your leader has yet to tell, and follow the path of healers to the great place of stars. Your journey will start there. Good luck, little one. And tell no one." And with that, Spottedleaf was gone. "Spottedleaf! Spottedleaf come back!"
"Goldenpaw! Wake up!" Spiderpaw said as he tapped her with his paw. "What? Where am I?" She asked standing up. "The apprentice's den. Why?" Spiderpaw asked confused. "Oh, and who is 'Spottedleaf?'" Goldenpaw froze. She must have been talking in her sleep. "No one." She replied. "Come on! Let's get to training!" She said, and bounded out of the den leaving behind a very confused Spiderpaw.
