Who Am I? (A Warriors Fan-fiction)

Chapter 7

Sunlight poured into the cave the next morning. One ray landed right on Goldenpaw and her fur shone like the light that hit it. The warm sunlight gently woke her up. She yawned and stretched. Then, she padded out of the cave and back to the canyon. She now knew that she had to go to RiverClan. 

She caught the scent of the RiverClan medicine cat last night, and followed his trail back into the forest in their territory. Then her stomach began to growl. She spotted a vole dart behind a tree, and began to hunt it. Just as she was about to pounce, she was attacked! Mistyfoot, Blackclaw, and Mosspelt had been on a patrol when they saw her hunting on their territory. "Why are you here? You're Firestar's daughter!" Blackclaw hissed at her. Goldenpaw's fur stood up. "I-I was just comming to speak with Leopardstar! It's important!" She pleaded with the warriors. 

Blackclaw was about to attack her, but Mistyfoot stopped him. "Why have you come alone?" The grey warrior asked. Goldenpaw felt like Mistyfoot was only trying to help, but she was still reluctant to tell her secret. "I am alone because it is quicker and easier to get here. And I can take care of myself." Goldenpaw said. Blackclaw growled, but Mistyfoot silenced him again. "Very well. Follow me." She said and led her to the camp.

When they reached the camp, Blackclaw and Mosspelt went to the fresh-kill pile. Mistyfoot led Goldenpaw to the leader's den. As they walked in, Goldenpaw was shocked to see how much she and Leopardstar looked alike. Leopardstar saw Goldenpaw and jumped up. "Thank you Mistyfoot. Go get some fresh-kill." Leopardstar said.

After Mistfoot had left Leopardstar sat. "Why have you come here?" She asked. Goldenpaw knew that she could tell this cat. They were connected. "StarClan has told me that i am not Firestar's daughter. I'm on a mission to find my father......in FireClan." She said. Leopardstar stiffened when she heard that name. Then she sighed. "Then let me tell you a story." Leopardstar said.

"Before I came to RiverClan, I was a cat of FireClan. There were four clans where I was from. EarthClan, FireClan, WaterClan, and AirClan. When I was Leopardfur, I was training to be a medicine cat. But then I met a young warrior called Nightfrost. We fell in love. As you know, its against the warrior code for a medicine cat to fall in love.

"When I found out that I was expecting kits, I was devistated. So I ran.  I ran away from my clan, and joined RiverClan. My kits didn't affect my appearance, and judging by the way I looked, I could've been completely normal. But when my kits were born, two of them died. So I took my one remaining kit back to FireClan. Nightfrost found me halfway there in the night, and I gave him my kit. Before he could say anything I ran back to RiverClan. 

"Nightfrost followed me back and we got into a fight about why I left. I was Leopardstar then. He left the camp with our kit in his jaws and I haven't seen him since. About six moons later, I saw my kit again. Turns out that Nightfrost had left her on a rock in the river, hoping that I would find her and keep her. But I didn't. Firestar did. And now my kit is here with me again." Leopardstar finished.

Goldenpaw looked at the RiverClan leader. This was her mother. She touched her nose to her mother's shoulder. "Thank you for telling me." She said. Then she looked at Leopardstar. "Now i have to find my father." She said. Leopardstar nodded. "Go past the two-leg place. It's about a day's journey from here." Leopardstar said. "May I stay here tonight and leave tomorrow?" Goldenpaw asked. "Of course."  Leopardstar said. "But you must follow StarClan's wishes, and continue your journey tomorrow." Leopardstar said, and went to tell the clan.
