Piper's Point Of View.
"We need to get that wound cleaned up." Carol told me as I sat up. I yawned and stretched my arms out before nodding.
"Okay." I told her. She walked over to me and crouched down. I hissed as she untied the make-shift bandage.
"I can't get a good look at it, I need to cut your jeans." She said.
"That's okay, it's gettin' hot out anyway, I can cut them into shorts." I suggested. Carol nodded before slicing the leg of my jeans. She peeled the fabric off the bullet wound before pulling a face. "It's infected, we gotta treat it before it gets worse." She told me.
"How we gonna do that?" I asked, looking up at her.
"Tree sap, that might help." She told. "It's organic."
"Okay, I'll wait here." I smirked. She smiled and nodded before walking away over to Lizzie. They spoke for a moment before walking into the trees. I pulled off my holsters and finished cutting my jeans into shorts. I then tucked in the top that Carol had given to me. Carol came back a little while after with something gooey on her knife.
"This is going to hurt." She told me.
"Looking forward to it." I said. She chuckled before smearing the goo over my wound. I hissed.
"Told you." She smirked. I laughed. "Here, hand me the bandages from my bag.." She said. I grabbed the bandages from my her bag and handed them to her. She bandaged up my leg for me and smiled.
"You think it'll heal? Properly I mean?" I asked.
"Don't know, guess we'll have to wait and see." She said. I nodded as she went over and patched up Tyreese. I stood up and limped over to the two.
"What do you think? Three, four days out?" I asked, referring to how far we were away from this sanctuary.
"We haven't seen any of those maps at the crossings, I'm not sure." Carol told me. I sat down with them.
"Lizzie's tough." Tyreese said, smiling.
"When it comes to people." Carol retorted as she wrapped Tyreese's arm.
"What do you mean?" Tyreese asked.
"You haven't seen it?" Carol asked. "How she's confused about them, the walkers. She doesn't see what they are, she thinks they're just different." She explained.
"Mika the same way?" I asked.
"No, she's worse, she doesn't have a mean bone in her body." Carol sighed. I stood up again.
"Ready to go?" I asked. Carol nodded, finishing wrapping Tyreese's arm. "Come on girls, time to walk again." I told the girls who nodded. I held my hands out to Mika, who handed me Judith. I smiled down at her and I held her. She reminded me of Lori so much. "I'll hold Judith." I told Carol.
"No, I'll carry her, on my back." Carol told me. "You'll need to run if we get into trouble and with a limp and a baby, you're not gonna get far." She said. I huffed and handed her Judith.

We'd been walking for about an hour now and still hadn't seen anymore sign's for Terminus. I was starting to think that this place did not exist. I sighed as I continued to limp beside Carol.
