Piper's Point of View.

"So how do we do this? Just take a vote?" Glenn asked. We were now all sat in the living room of the farm house. We were about to decide what is to be done to Randall. Deciding whether he lives, or he dies. I was sat by Glenn, looking up at Rick.

"Does it have to be unanimous?" Andrea asked.

"How about majority rules?" I suggested.

"Well, let's-- let's just see where everybody stands, then we can talk through the options." Rick explained.

"Well, where I sit, there's only one way to move forward." Shane said, as if it were obvious.

"Killing him, right? I mean, why even bother to even take a vote? It's clear which way the wind's blowing." Dale scoffed.

"Well, if people believe we should spare him, I wanna know." Rick spat.

"Well, I can tell you it's a small group-- Maybe just me, Glenn and Piper." Dale explained. I glanced up at Daryl who was staring at me. I then looked down. Glenn and I exchanged looks before I nodded and Glenn looked up at Dale.

"Look, W-- we think you're pretty much right about everything, all the time, but this--"

"They've got you two scared." Dale snapped.

"He's not one of us. And we've-- we've lost too many people already." I told him.

"How about you? Do you agree with this?" Dale then asked Maggie who looked down before up at Rick.

"Couldn't we continue keeping him prisoner?" Maggie asked.

"Just another mouth to feed." Daryl told her.

"It may be a lean winter." Hershel added.

"We could ration better." Lori suggested.

"Well, he could be an asset, give him a chance to prove himself." Dale told us.

"Put him to work?" Glenn asked.

"We're not letting him walk around." Rick denied.

"We could put an escort on him." Maggie proposed.

"Who wants to volunteer for that duty?" Shane asked, a humerus smirk on his face.

"I will." Dale snapped.

"I don't think any of us should be walking around with this guy." Rick said.

"He's right. I wouldn't feel safe unless he was tied up." Lori explained.

"We can't exactly put chains around his ankles, sentence him to hard labor." Andrea scoffed.

"Look, say we let him join us, right? Maybe he's helpful, maybe he's nice. We let our guard down and maybe he runs off, brings back his 30 men." Shane put forward.

"So the answer is to kill him to prevent a crime that he may never even attempt? If we do this, we're saying there's no hope. Rule of law is dead. There is no civilization." Dale snapped.

"Oh, my God." Shane scoffed.

"Shut up Shane." I mumbled. He glared down at me.

"Could you drive him further out? Leave him like you planned?" Hershel asked.

"You barely came back this time. There are walkers, you could break down. Y-you could get lost." Lori said.

"Or get ambushed." Daryl added.

"They're right. We should not put our own people at risk." Glenn agreed.

"If you go through with it, how would you do it?" Patricia asked. "Would he suffer?"
