Getting Some Help

You walked between Logan and Brady. Well you weren't really walking, more like being dragged violently across the ground by the brothers. It's the middle of the night and, like any normal human being, you were asleep. Burress Bros decided to go see if they could find someone who they thought could help with the virus.

"So who are we going to find?"

"Rookie, just shut up, and deal with the fact that we're doing this!" Brady snapped.

"Ignore him Rookie. He's just sleep deprived." Logan stopped walking while Brady continued, causing the left side of your body to be yanked forward.

"Shit!" Brady yelled, not realizing that his brother stopped walking.

"Drop 'em!" Logan told his little brother.

"Rookie? No way! Orders were to drag them there if they were asleep!"

"Does it look like I'm asleep!?" You yelled while trying not to get dirt in your mouth. Brady sighed and let go of your arm, making your face slam into the ground.

"Rookie!? Are you okay?" Logan helped you stand up and dust you off.

"Dammit Brady! You have to be more careful than that! Here Rookie." He handed you a bottle of water.

"Try to wash some of the dirt out of your mouth."

"Thanks Logan." You took the bottle and gurgled some water. Logan tilted his head towards his brother, who was currently looking in the opposite direction, signaling to spit the water on him. You chuckled and turned your head towards Brady.

A stream of water came out of your mouth and hit Brady's upper back and the back of his head.

"Agh! Rookie!! What the hell was that for!?" You and Logan doubled over in a fit of laughter. Logan fell on the ground which caused you to laugh even harder. Brady smirked at his brother, took the bottle from your hand, and poured the remaining contents on his older brother. You three eventually stopped laughing and focused on the mission.

"Okay, so where is this "Tech Genus"?" You asked.

"Just a little ways ahead. Don't worry Rookie, Brady won't be a bitch anymore." Logan assured you. You chuckled softly. Brady rolled his eyes at his brother's remark.

"I'm not being a bitch, I'm just tired!"

"Which is causing you to be not only a bitch to Rookie, but also an ass to me!"

"Both of you calm the fuck down!" You yelled, stopping the brother's bickering. "Look, we're all tired here. We all need sleep. Brady, Logan is just as tired as you are, but he's able to deal with it better. Right Logan?" Logan and Brady nodded. "So let's to get this guy!"

"Calm your ass! I'm coming!" A voice came from the other side of the door.

"Glitch!"

"Goddamnit Logan! Calm the fuck down!" The voice yelled. The door opened, revealing a kid a little shorter than Brady, blonde headed, and wearing thin-rimmed glasses.

"So, this is the guy?" You asked, a slight scoff in your tone.

"This "Guy", as a matter of fact, could just so be the person that stops the apocalypse...Again!" He smirked proudly. Logan scoffed, Brady chuckled and you cackled.

"Glitch" frowned.

"Talon, cut the chit chat and let's get to business. Do you have any left over tonic from the first time?"

"Ah! Of course! Right this way!" Talon gestured you three inside. After you walked in, Talon raised an eyebrow in your direction.

"Who might you be?" He asked you.

"I'm Rookie!" You held out your hand for him to shake it. He looked you sternly in the eyes, then smiled and rejected your handshake.

"If you're a friend of Logan and Brady, you're a friend of mine!" He embraced you in a hug. You stood still and looked at the brothers. They both smirked and shrugged their shoulders. Talon let you go.

"Anyways! This way!" He yelled as he took off running with you and the brothers close behind. Everything looks so normal.

"Where do you keep this lab of yours Talon? Everything here is so common in households." You confusedly questioned.

"Just wait." He led you to a rather small back room. He smiled and flipped a switch underneath the counter top.

You rolled your eyes and scoffed.

"So what, big deal. It's just like every other evil scientist in the movies. Everything looks normal and then they flip a hidden switch and boom, a super secret lab pops up out of nowhere! I'm so surprised!" You said with certain sarcasm in your voice.

"Oh this is anything but some evil scientist lair!" A doorway opened and a staircase led down into darkness. Talon jumped up and down, clapping his hands together.

"I've always wanted to show that to someone besides Logan!" The four of you ran downstairs and finally showed up in a room miles by miles in size. You had to admit, you were impressed.

"Welcome, to my laboratory!!!"
