A few days had passed since Christmas and it was now December 31st. The countdown until the new year was serious now.
10:00 AM
Bri was the last one awake, and was just now waking up. Several hours of the day were very boring and quiet.
5:00 PM
8 hours left until midnight. A few conversations were brought up about great memories from the year. Laughter filled the silence in the house.
9:00 PM
Bri was sitting on the front porch drawing a picture of the landscape while Braxton sang softly to her. After about 30 minutes, everyone was out front singing and laughing.
10:00 PM
Everyone was getting anxious now. Only two hours were left in the year. Story after story was told about great milestones reached in the year.
11:00 PM
A campfire was started out front a few feet from the house. The last hour of this year, soon to be gone.
11:58 PM
Talon had his pocket watch out and was ready to count down to 2031.
2 minutes. Time drug on.
1 minute. The year had gone by so quickly.
Everyone counted down. "5...4...3...2...1."
"Happy New Year!!"
