"Logan! Brady! Rookie!" Bri ran towards the three of you with her arms open.
"Ah!" You screamed as you ducked down into a ball. Logan jumped in front of you and aimed the gun at Bri. He pulled the trigger and a stream of thick crimson liquid shot into her mouth.
"...Agh! It tastes like raw fish!!" She screamed and fell to the ground.
"Bri!" Gillian tried to run to her friend, but was held at gunpoint away from her.
"Open up!" You yelled as you shot the antidote into Gillian's mouth. She fell to the ground, trying to spit out the Godawful taste. You smiled as you saw the cuts and wrinkles disappear from your friends.
"Damn. My head." Bri complained as she slowly sat up, her hand held on the side of her head.
"Hey, you alright?" Logan asked Bri in a kind-hearted tone before helping her to her feet.
"Gilly-bear!" Steel yelled and ran to Gillian.
"Don't call me that!" Gillian suddenly snapped at Steel. All five mercenaries were taken aback.
"Gillian, it's me, Steel." He slowly walked towards her and tried to hug her. As his arms started to close, Gillian growled and slammed him on the ground.
"Listen here, asshole," she hissed at him. "I want you to leave my friends alone, leave me alone, and never come near any of us again! Got it?"
"W-why?" Steel half-heartedly sobbed. Gillian shoved her knee on the side of his head, pushing it further into the dirt.
"Man, you really are a dumbass." She mumbled. She set more pressure on his back, causing the man to groan in pain.
"So we try for a kid, fail, walk off into war, and then you leave my ass behind and don't bother to call me in the years after!?" She was yelling more than questioning him about it.
"Gillian, I meant to call you, I really did. But I left my phone on the field when we went to fight and I forgot to grab it before I left." He sounded desperate to move from the uncomfortable position.
"I can't fucking even!" Gillian yelled and stood on Steel's back. She stepped off and kicked his side before stomping off.
