"So your leg is practically immobilized until it's healed?" Brady questioned as he sat next to you. "Pretty much." You sighed and looked at the ground.

"You can sit here and monitor the cameras in Amnesia. That's easy, right?" Blake tried to shine a positive light on the situation.

"I guess I could manage that." You looked around the room, at the faces of your friends.

"Talon will stay with you here at camp incase you need help or anything goes wrong." Bri placed a hand on your shoulder. "You're one tough soldier Rookie." You smiled at her and chuckled.

"I hate that this happened. We never meant for you to get hurt." Gillian looked up from her lap and gave you an apologetic look. "It's fine Gillian. We didn't think that something like that would happen." You gave her a reassuring smile.

Logan stood off to the side and clapped his hands together. "I think we should all let Rookie get some rest." He yawned. "They've had a long day."

Bri nodded in agreement and ruffled your hair. "Get some rest, okay?" You also yawned. "Got it."

Everyone said goodnight and made their way out of the room, Brady staying behind to help you lay down on the bed.

"Thanks, Burress." He chuckled at the sound of his nickname, the one that Bri had given him years ago. "It's not a problem Rookie. Like Gillian said, we didn't mean for this to happen. But since it did we're gonna make sure you get better asap." You smiled at him and blinked slowly.

"Have a good sleep Rook. We'll see you in the morning." He left the room.

You awoke to a certain smell drafting through the house. The smell of breakfast, the good kind. The one with bacon and eggs, toast and biscuits, pancakes and sausage.

You slowly slid yourself off the bed, shifting your weight onto your crutches.

You limped out into the kitchen, the smell of food becoming much stronger now.

"Well good morning Rookie!" Bri sang from the kitchen. Logan chuckled. "More like Sleeping Beauty."

You laughed at Logan's comment and went to sit down at the table. Gillian walked in and smiled. "How did you sleep last night Rook?"

"Pretty good, actually." You sat down and propped your crutches against the table then rubbed your eyes. "I didn't wake up in the middle of the night screaming in pain so that's good."

Blake chuckled as he stood at the counter and watched Bri cook. Every now and then he would try to grab a piece of bacon, but Bri smacked his hand with the spatula every time he attempted it.

"That's for breakfast. Not for right now." She told him as she finished the eggs. He let out an annoyed sigh. "Fine." Bri smiled softly as her brother left the food alone.

"Rookie?" Bri called to get your attention. "Yes?"

"How do you like your eggs?" You thought for a second. "I don't prefer a specific way. But scrambled is fine."

The purple haired girl laughed. "Alright." She went back to making the meal and finished just as the rest of the team drowsily walked in.

Everyone sat at the large table and started getting the food they wanted. "It's just like a buffet!" Brady mentioned with a biscuit in his mouth.

Logan smacked his brother on the head. "Don't talk with your mouth full. You know better." He bit a piece of bacon after he finished speaking.

Everyone laughed and started eating. "So," you started. "Where did you get this stuff Bri?"
