Blake and Steel rushed to grab the mystery man, Brady and Logan immediately wrapped him with the rope and Levi kicked his gun to the side. Gillian, Gavin, Adam, and Cole quickly got to their surrounding positions as a guarding circle. You intimidatingly walked up to the stationed man and slowly reached down for the gun.
Once he saw you armed he started to panic.
"Calm down. I'm not going to hurt you...Yet.
You see, we're not too happy about you killing our friend. We don't know what you're doing in a deserted place like this but you're really just wasting your time or trying to get yourself killed.
Seeing as you made the dumb mistake of killing our friend, I'd say you want to see your grave rather early." You shot the most threatening looks you could as you talked, and, if the man was being honest with himself, was actually really scared.
"Look, I didn't mean to kill your friend! It was an honest mistake!"
"Then why is she dead?! Huh? You think you can say sorry and everything's fine and back to normal? Think again! You ruined our lives! Bri meat something to all of us! She was important to us! And you just carelessly shot her down without an ounce of pity. Sure now you come here and cry because-"
"Wait what did you say her name was?" You looked up at the man, shocked. Now you got a good look at his features.
He was just a simple redhead with glasses. His hair looked extremely greasy, went a little past his ears, and had soft curls to the ends of the strands. His face had some scars and his left eye was hidden behind his sweat-ridden locks.
"I said Bri."
"That can't be her full first name."
"Brianna."
"I knew it! I knew I shot Bri from the moment she fell to the ground! Gillian, those water drops were teardrops.
I come here to cry because I killed my best friend."
"Hold on. Braxton?" Gillian lowered her fists as her facial expression softened.
"Braxton?!" Everyone else questioned.
"Yes we get it that's my name!" The male groaned.
"Wait, I thought I was your best friend!"
"Shut it Brady!" The redhead snapped at the brunette.
"Snappy." Brady mumbled.
"Why? Why are you out here? Why did you pull the trigger?" Blake quizzed the new man.
"I'm out here because all of you went missing. I pulled the trigger because, it was kinda my job." He stated innocently.
"What job?!" Levi just about slapped him.
"I'm a Merc now. I do what people tell me to."
"You've always been like that." Gillian blankly stated.
"No. He means people hire him to kill someone." You informed her.
"Why that job? Why take the assignment to kill your friend?" You added on.
"First off I didn't want this job. My life had nothing left to it. My friends all left me. I wasn't worth anything to anyone so why not risk my life hunting people? And second, it was either kill Bri or everything else was taken from me. My apartment, my dog, my food. Anything I had left to hold onto. Gone."
Everyone was quiet, nothing to counter his story.
You heard footsteps behind you.
"What's everyone doing?" Talon lazily asked.
"Talon?"
"Braxton?"
"Talon what are you doing up?" Brady butted in.
"Are you kidding me? I haven't slept since Bri died. I'm going to find a way to bring her back!" He smacked a fist into his opposing hand.
"You haven't buried her after three months?!" Braxton sounded disgusted.
"Forget that right now. Let's go inside and figure out something." Blake kept his eyes on he ground as he thought.
"What do we need to figure out?" Adam asked him.
"Hold on," Logan poked his way into the conversation.
"Who sent Braxton to kill Bri?"
