5 years later
I stared at the diamond ring which surrounded my finger. This was my chance of a happy ending. A happy ending with Jacob.
I kissed him, holding the bouquet of flowers in my hands. My white dress blew in the wind. He lifted me, carrying me to the car, where our honeymoon would begin- in Australia.
Except there was only a one way ticket. Our fresh start to get away. Build a new life. Leave all the misery behind. I smiled, holding Jake's hand.
"I love you," I spoke softly.
"I love you too," he replied, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.I suppose there's a happy ending for everyone, I thought placing my hand on the baby bump, my silk dress covered.
I turned to Jake a huge smile beamed on my face.
"It's a boy!" I shrieked.
He wrapped his arms around me, my smile mirrored on his face.
"Do you have any name ideas?" He asked in his soft velvet tone.
"Actually I do,"
"Me too," he replied.
"Finn," we both spoke in unison.
"Well I guess that's settled. Did you hear that baby Finn. Your mummy and daddy love you very much. You're named after one of the greatest men to have ever existed. He was funny, smart and even if he couldn't live his life to the potential, he'd be honoured to see you live yours."
"He'd be proud of you... And us you know." I nodded holding his hand firmly.
"He'd want to see his two favourite people in the world happy. That's all he ever wanted, to make you happy Bella. Now I'm going to return his wish and love you for as long as I live and give you the happiness you deserve."I smiled knowing that I had stopped grieving over Finn and instead have started to appreciate the life he lived. That's the thing about loss, you never completely forget about them, nor they ever leave your heart but instead you cherish the life they have lived and shed a tear every once in a while. But for now I'm happy with my choices and I'm happy to have known and loved the boy who fell.
