"Come on, Mom," I said with a slight whine in my voice.

"Don't rush me Grace," she said, coming down the stairs slowly in the high heels that she insisted she wear.

"You know how the traffic is in Atlanta," I said, racing to the door, "We have to go now if we're going to make it to the audition in time."

After what seemed like twenty minutes, but turned out to be two, my mom made it to the door and buckled herself into her seat.

My parents have been trying to get me a job in acting ever since I was twelve considering it was my one and only passion.

I had been in the classes since before I can remember, and not once did I ever think about ending them.

Not only did I finally land an opportunity to get the acting career I've always wanted, but it was an audition for my most favorite show on the planet, The Walking Dead.

As we pulled up to the AMC studio, I let out a loud squeal.

"Mom! This is where they film it!" I let out another squeal and my mom rolled her eyes with a small smirk.

I jumped out of the car without waiting for my mom and followed the other girls that were here to, no doubt, audition for the spot.

We ended up waiting for about an hour before I was next in line.

"Aww," I heard someone say from behind me, "We missed most of them."

Then there was a laugh and I grinned, staying frozen because honestly, I was star struck.

"Lauren, it's fine. There are still more girls."

"Oh my Lanta," I said turning to them with a huge smiled etched on my face, "You're Steven Yeun and Lauren Cohan."

Lauren smiled,"Yep. That's us."

I didn't know what else to say so I let the other girls in the room turn to their favorite stars and fangirl.

"Next," somebody said from inside the room.

I let out a breath of worried air and turned to my mother.

"You'll do great," she said.

I smiled and walked into the room, just to have the breathe knocked out of me once more.

"You're Chandler Riggs," I said in awe, looking at the table where two men, woman, and Chandler were sitting.

He smiled at me, "Yes I am. What's your name?"

I looked into his blue eyes and noticed that they were bluer in person.

"Uh-uh," I stammered,"G-Grace."

He smiled and shook his head, "Nice to meet you. Don't be nervous."

I nodded, even though I thought that was the worst thing he could have said to me in that moment. I was pretty sure that I hadn't been more nervous before than I was in this very moment in time.

I turned and looked at the woman and smiled, taking a deep breath.

~

It had been a month since I had auditioned for the show and I was pretty sure that I didn't get the part.

Sure, I was proud of my work and I was quite bummed about the whole thing, but I actually got to meet my favorite stars in the entire world and took pictures.

Chandler even spent some of his break with me.

It had taken my mom a lot of convincing to let me stay at the studio for longer than we originally planned, but eventually, she gave in.

Chandler and I had lunch together and he even gave me a tour of the studio.

By the time, my mom got back, I was glad to say that Chandler trusted me enough to give me his phone number.

"Grace," my mom called from the kitchen, "You have mail."

I arched an eyebrow before telling Chandler I would be back via text.

I walked downstairs and found my mom holding an envelope like she had just won the lottery.

"It's from the studio," she said, grinning widely.

My jaw dropped and I snatched the envelope from her in anxiousness.

As soon as my clammy hands held the paper, I ripped it open and scanned the printed lettering.

"I got it."

"What?" my mom said, as if she couldn't believe it. Frankly, I couldn't believe it either.

"I got it," I screamed, jumping into my mom's awaiting arms and flailing the paper around.

I couldn't wait to tell Chandler.

Sorry it's so late guys. There will be a second part to this chapter.

This is actually a request from fanficstwd and I was going to go with the topic from the 30 day challenge, but I liked her idea better, so this will be replacing the topic of morning routine that was scheduled for today. Thank you all for the reads and votes and stuff, so... Luv ya ~Miki
