Chapter 15 - The Boiling Rock Pt. 1

I wiped the sweat off my forehead as Zuko rounded the corner. "Hey. You're getting better." He says leaning on the ledge. "Well, now that I can control my bending, it's much easier." He nods coming over to me.

"What are you-" I was cut off by him wrapping his arms around me. I sigh in content wrapping my arms around him. "What's this for?" My voice was quite as I ask this.

"Just because I wanted one. Plus, the sickness isn't talking now." He says making me push away from him and turn around as my face was steaming. He remembered! Oh, my lanta! ''I can't believe you remembered that."

"I remember every word that has come out of your mouth." Zuko says wrapping his arms around me from the behind. I sigh closing my eyes holding onto his arms. "I want to try." He says making my eye fly open.

A smile found its way on my face. "Okay." I turn around looking up at him. "Really?" Zuko asks looking at me in disbelief. I nod my head. He hugs me picking me up of the ground and squeezing me tighter.

"Great. This is great." He says putting me down and putting his hand behind his head and smiling. "Yeah. It is." I smile more.

"Hey Zuko! We were hoping you could make us some tea." Toph says rounding the corner. We look up at her and smile. "Sure. Be over there in a second." Zuko says as she nods walking away.

"Now, come here." Zuko says making the face I made the other day trying to impersonate Azula. "Oh no! She's out to get me!" I say putting both of my hands on my cheek with a fake horror expression.

I start running off and as soon as I come into the view of our friends, Zuko rips me back and pins me against the post. "I've been capture." I sigh quietly looking down. He laughs a bit before leaning down and kissing me.

He pulled away kissing my forehead before walking away leaving me breathless. 'If he kisses me like that anymore, I'll die for sure.' I think fixing my shirt and fluffing my hair before walking out.

"I work with uncle in the shop, but my tea will never match up to him. But I do remember a part of one of his jokes." Zuko says glancing up at me before handing everyone their cups. "Leaf me alone. I'm bushed."

I drop the cup of tea as he say this. He catches it before handing it back to me. "Your cup." He whispers.

"Well, it's funnier when Uncle tells it." Zuko says sitting down next to me. I giggle a bit looking over at him. "You're just as good. I promise." Zuko smiled before drinking some of his tea.

"Hey Zuko, can I talk to you for a sec." Sokka comes over to Zuko before Zuko looks at me. I smile and nod before taking his cup of tea. Us firebending folk were cheating and keeping our tea completely warm.

Five minutes later, Zuko returned with a look on his face. "I know that look." I say looking over at him as he takes his tea back. "We're not sleeping inside or out here tonight." Zuko replies as I nod.

"I'll tell you about it later." Zuko sips his tea and soon enough everyone is finding their corners and starting to fall asleep. Zuko and I walk inside and sit in the hallway after getting our things.

"Mind telling me what is going on in your head?" I ask leaning on his shoulder and sighing. "Sokka asked me about the Boiling Rock." Zuko says making my eyes go wide as I tense up. "Oh really?"

"Now what's going through your mind?" Zuko leans up making me sit up off his shoulder. "My younger sister got sent there. She killed a few people and as she was about to be arrested, she ran. So, when she was found, it wasn't pretty. I heard that she was sentenced to death after being there for a while."

I sigh standing up with Zuko. "You can sleep for a bit in Appa's saddle." Zuko says as we walk back outside and climb up on Appa. I lay my head on Zuko's leg before he started playing with my hair.
