Chapter 18 - Melonlord

"What are you guys doing?!" I yell looking around the corner as fire rushes my way. Gasping for air, I move out of the way as fire goes throughout the whole hallway. "Enough!" Anngs voice rang throughout the house before a huge boom was heard.

I come out from my hiding spot looking at the hole in the wall. "Zuko?!" I yell seeing him down in the sand looking up. Anng jumped down to the ground as I climbed towards the ground.

"What's wrong with you?! You could have hurt Anng!" Katara yelled as I helped Zuko back up. "What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you?! How can you be having a beach party when Sozins comet is only three days away?!" All of them gave us looks.

"I was thinking about defeating the Firelord after the comet." Anng says making me look at him confused. This won't do.

"The whole reason for fighting the fire nation before was to make sure they didn't win this war, but they already one it when they took Ba Sing Sai." Katara says. "Things couldn't get much worse."

"You're wrong." I say looking down and sighing. "The day before the eclipse, Ozai called an important war meeting. I didn't get to attend because I was so sick, but Zuko told me all about it."

"They are planning to burn the whole Earth Kingdom on the day of the comet." I say.

"I wanted to speak out about their horrible plan, but I'm sad to say I didn't. I had finally gained my fathers acceptance, but I lost myself along the way." Zuko sat down on a rock making me smile sadly at him. 'I had to watch it all.'

"I know you're scared, but if you don't defeat my father before the comet comes, there won't be a world to save." Zuko says standing up and walking towards Anng. Anng started to panic before Katara walked towards him. "You don't have to do this alone. Anng you have all of us."

"Yeah! Team Avatar is back!" Sokka yells before looking at each of us. "Air, water, earth, fire, fan and sword." He says as Suki and him hold up leaves. I laughed at this.

"Defeating the Firelord is going to be one of the hardest things we've ever attempted. But I wouldn't want to do it any other way." Anng says smiling as my heart clenches a bit. Zuko glanced over at me making me advert my eyes. Then, I was pulled into a group hug.

"I say we make a plan and act it out. Meet me up on the mountain at sunset." Sokka says before him and Suki disappear.

Zuko pulled me with him before we sat down on the beach. "What was the look for?" Oh boy. "What look? I have no clue what you're talking about." I say looking out towards the sea. "I'm not going to force you to talk about it, but this might be our last peaceful moment for us to talk." Zuko says leaning into me more.

"How are you feeling?" I ask hesitantly, never taking my eyes from the water. Zuko sighed before silence laced between us. "I don't know. The one person I wanted so much respect from ended up being the person we have to kill."

Looking over at Zuko made me realize he wasn't okay. He was trying so hard to put on this strong face and try to move on from his past. "Zuk-" "He should pay for the crimes he has committed and I know he has to be stopped but he's still my father, even when I don't want him to be."

"I have so much fury inside of me Arabella and I don't know where to put it." Zuko looked over at me as a frown graced his lip. "How did you deal with this rage?"

I looked back out towards the ocean. "I didn't have rage or fury towards anyone Zuko." Flashes of me dancing around in my living room flashed before my eyes. "I had it towards myself."

"This rage you're feeling isn't going to go away. You've had so many things piled up on you lately and I can't blame you for the way you feel. You're overwhelmed." He stood up before walking towards the water and stopping just before the water met his feet.
