The Fire Within Us All (Completed)

Chapter 19 - Lightning

"Aang is missing!" Katara yells as everyone gathers to make a plan to find Aang. Everyone splits up in teams of two. I went with my sister walking around the islands beaches to see if he went for a relaxing swim.

"What's going to happen if we can't find him?" Armelle asks looking over at me. "I suppose we'll go and face the Firelord ourselves. Either way, we have to defeat him or else we'll never be able to." I say brushing through her hair. "If anything goes bad, I want you to promise me something." We stop right behind a volleyball game.

"If something goes bad, I want you to run as fast as you can. Get away. Any person who is fighting in that war and gets captured will not be treated nicely, and any person against the Fire Nation will be killed." I say grabbing her shoulders. "If we don't win, I want you to be far away from it."

Armelle nodded before looking down. "You can just say it, you know?" I look at her strangely before realizing what she meant. "I don't want you anywhere near this war. Happy?" She shakes her head before walking away a little.

"You're way too young for this war and you just got out of prison. You're still regaining your strength."

"Who's fault is that?"

I stop walking after her before staring at her. "I thought you were dead, or else you would've been out of that place in a week." She turns around to face me before sighing. "Fine, but there isn't many places for me to go."

"They don't know you're my sister so you could make a life here, and when the war is over, I could come find you. You could fit in and act like a normal Fire Nation citizen. You'd be safe here." I say as she nods before walking away more as we searched for Aang but had no luck.

"We need to find him." Sokka says as all of us look at each others. "I may know someone who can help us." Zuko says before we pack up all of our things and load them all on Appa. "Armelle, are you coming?" Katara asks looking at my sister.

"I'm going to stay here and watch over the house while you're all gone." She smiles sadly while looking over at me. I hand her my bag before hugging her tightly. "Everything you need is in here. There's plenty of money and if you run low they have jobs on the beach." I whisper to her before holding her shoulders.

"I'll be back for you before you know it. I promise." I kiss her cheek before climbing up on Appa as Zuko says "Yip, yip."

I sigh before finally looking away from the house. "You're doing the right thing Arabella." Sukki says looking over at me as I nod. "She didn't have a part in this. She's too young and I would feel awful for putting her back in a prison cell if this thing goes South. At least no one really knows that she's my sister."

"Hey, why are we going to the Earth Kingdom?" Sokka asks as we pass the border to the Earth Kingdom. "There's someone here that I think can help us locate Aang." Zuko says as we land in front of a bar.

We all walk inside to see drunk people slugging all over and fighting for one drink that this girl with black hair was holding. She ends up winning and taking a sip before we walked over. "June, I need your help."

"I see you made up with your girlfriend." She says nodding her head towards Katara making me glance at Zuko.

"She's not my girlfriend!"

"He's not my boyfriend!"

"Sheesh. I was just joking around." June says before taking a sip of her drink. "So why are you here?"

"We're looking for the Avatar. We need your shirshu to find him." Zuko says as June turned around. "Doesn't sound fun." I got down in front of her before stealing her drink. "Does the end of the word sound fun?" She glanced up at me before chugging her drink and walking outside with us.

"Nyla." June says in a soothing tone as she holds a piece of meat. As she fed her the meat, Nyla comes up to love on June. "Do you have a smell sample?" Katara got up on Appa and grabbed Aangs staff before coming down and letting Nyla sniff it.

Nyla turned ran around the area sniffing the air before laying down and rubbing her nose. "He's gone. Like he doesn't exist." Everyone freaked out but Arabella and Zuko. They glanced at each other before nodding.

"Hold on just a second. I have another sample for you to track." Zuko climbs up onto Appa and grabs Irohs stinky shoes from a bag. "You kept your uncles sweaty shoe?" Sokka asks before they all covered their nose except Toph who just smiled. "I think its sweet."

Nyla sniffed the shoes before starting to sprint off. "Hey!" I yell before everyone hops up on Appa and flies after June and Nyla. "Do you really think he can help us?" Arabella asks sliding down next to Zuko who was sitting on Appas head.

He looked over her before looking back towards the ground. "If he can't, we might as well give up. Aang is nowhere to be seen and the only other person who I think is powerful enough to defeat my father, is my uncle."

"Your uncle shouldn't be too far from here. Nyla is twitchy. Good luck." June says before running off and leaving us in front of the great wall of Ba Sing Se. "Let's get some rest. We'll head out in the morning." Zuko says before hopping down from Appa.

Suki and Sokka cuddle up on Appas tail before Katara lays down on one of Appas legs. "Goodnight guys." Toph says before making an earth tent and closing herself in. "I'm just going to go lay over here." I say before grabbing a blanket from Appas saddle and covering up on the ground.

Zuko looked at the hole in the wall before laying down beside me. I looked up at him before covering him up some. "Goodnight." I say before closing my eyes. "Goodnight." Zuko says before kissing my forehead.

Lightning flashed before my eyes as screams could be heard. "Zuko?" I say before looking to see him falling. Electricity shot out from his body as I tried to run towards him. Everything slowed down as I felt like I was trudging through mud. "Zuko!! No, don't leave me!"

I shot up panting before looking over at Zuko. Sweat dripped down my neck as I stood up and grabbed my water.

That was an awful nightmare.
