"Hello?" I heard Kiki's voice on the other line.
"Hey Kiki remember me?" I asked hoping she wouldn't yell at me through the line.
"Oh I'm sorry who is this? I would remember but someone who completely forgets about her best friend isn't worth remembering." She harshly said through the phone.
"Kiki, please? I'm sorry. I know I should've called you before. It's just...I've been trying to have a good time and trying to sink in this new living style it's...it's a hard adjustment." I know the last part was a lie but she'll literally have my head, I just didn't know what else to come up with.
"Fine, I...I understand. The move was a bit harsh on you and trying to adjust over there isn't easy. I just hope no guys are involved with it or else you would of told me right?"
I gulped. "Um no not really, at least not in that way. He's really great. You guys will like him."
"Oh you sure he's not....anything else? Hmmm?" She said, hoping to get the 'truth' to come out.
Of course not, I mean yes we slept together but we're past that.
"Yes I'm totally sure. Nothing happened and nothing will happen we are JUST FRIENDS."
"Okayyy. Whatever you say. But just so you know Travis won't shut up about how much he worries about you. Just hope he doesn't have the urge to beat up...wait, who is this mystery guy?"
"His name is Justin, but don't mention anything to Travis. At least not yet. He'll think we're dating. But why would Travis care? He hasn't even bothered to call and check up on how I'm doing?" Seriously, he hasn't so he shouldn't be all butt hurt if I'm dating someone else, which I'm not.
"Well that's another thing. Ever since you moved he started partying a lot more than usual and had some one night stands. You didn't hear anything from me though."
"Wow. Seriously? Well then he definitely shouldn't care if I'm dating someone. You know what? If he does try to pull something to get me to like him again, I'm fake dating Justin because I don't want to date a guy that might have any STD or AIDS."
"Okay then. So, changing subjects, why'd you call?" She asked.
"I just wanted to know if you guys are all still down to come up and visit."
"Hell yeah we are! And while we're up there, we, my friend, are going surfing."
"I had a feeling you would say that. Soooo that's why I bought two new bikini's!"
"You're going to look amazing! I just know it!"
"Thanks! I miss you guys so much!" I told her while a small tear started to form in my eye.
"We do too! I can't wait to see you and your new mystery guy!"
I laughed and wiped the little tears away. "WE AREN'T DATING. So put that in your head right now."
"I will! If he's hot, I'm so going for it!" She said a little too excited.
"I don't think he likes girls your type Kiki."
