Today was finally Saturday. So much has happened these past days and it's been a mixture of good and bad. Justin didn't show up Thursday or Friday and I was worried what had happened to him.
Some people said he went partying Wednesday night and met some supermodel at the club he went to and don't know much from there. Others say he went to Las Vegas, moved there but gambled all his money away. There was other talk too but I honestly didn't believe any of them. Or at least, I didn't want to.
I also had the chance to talk to Katie more and tell her what was going on. She agreed with me and said that Justin, in time, would talk to me when he would come to an understanding. Other than talking about Justin, we really got closer and found things in common about each other. She was also able to help me out on our essay we had to write and if she wasn't helping me, I would of bs'd the whole thing.
As for Mason and I's date, we moved it to today since his Dad wanted him to visit a college to view their football program on Friday. We had been getting a lot closer the last couple of days and I couldn't be more happier. He decided to change plans last minute and wanted to pick me up at nine in the morning instead. I was instructed to pack snacks, a blanket, a towel and keep my bikini on but to bring sweats.
I asked myself, 'Why he would want me to bring sweats?' since it would be in the ninety's today, but figured he'd probably want me to stay late with him at the beach.
I packed everything he told me to and did my makeup after washing up. I wore waterproof mascara and eyeliner in case we decided to go inside the water. I know waterproof makeup is never good but for this case, it'll make an exception.
My outfit consisted of a jean skirt with a white halter neck crop top. I wore my cute simple strap sandals. I put my silver bracelet my Dad gave me for my birthday and braided my hair into a side french braid.
Mason sent me a text that he was almost here. Once I went downstairs and placed my things by the door, I entered the kitchen for a glass of water. I drank the rest of my water and took out some frozen fruits and ice from the freezer to place in the blender for a to-go smoothie. Once they were blended together, I poured it inside my Starbucks cup I bought.
Dad was in the living room, watching sports highlights from last night and Bells was on the floor coloring in a big coloring book my Dad had gotten her. I decided to sit next to Dad and take advantage of this little quiet family time.
When I walked up to the side of the couch, I caught his attention and he gave me a smile. I smiled back and sat next to him, making sure not to step on Bells little legs. I laid my head on his shoulder and held his hand as a loving gesture.
"Little girl, where are you going dressed up like that?" I heard my Dad ask me.
"I got asked on a date. Is that okay with you?"
"Yes it is. But I would like to know in advance next time. Who's taking you on a date? Is it Justin?"
"What? NO. I mean, no. He's not the one taking me on a date. A kid named Mason I met this week at school. He's really nice."
"I was hoping it was Justin. He seems like a good kid. But this Mason, will I be able to meet him?" He raised his eyebrow, waiting for an answer.
"Yes if you want. He's almost here."
At that exact moment, I got a text message. I looked at my phone and it was from Mason, saying he was here.
"Just in time." I said mostly to myself. "He's here Dad. I'll introduce him to you. Come on."
I got him up from the couch and put my bag sling over my shoulder once I reached the door. I got my blanket and towel and opened the door and saw his gray Jeep Wrangler waiting outside. It was no Ferrari but it was still a nice car. Well, jeep.
