Justin POV:

Today's the day.

The day things go down.

We've been preparing ever since I had to help send away the girls from the lobby. One of them still tried to hit on me but all she helped make me was more annoyed.

Once they were all gone, it took the rest of that day and half of today to make sure to think of the impossible in case we were ambushed or played. It was now almost in motion. In less than an hour, I'd be doing Jake's 'job' he wants me to do for him and that's when the boys slowly come in and take care of business.

Yes, the team and I agreed it would be best that they take care of the mess and him. I thought long and hard. I knew if I had gone through this again, I'd face the problem of re-encountering the countless nightmares I spent years trying to forget. It's not something from memory lane I'd like to remember.

We got our gear and cars ready. We had to call in a favor from an old friend to help pull some strings to get us at least two more cars. I got a motorcycle just for the fun of it and because I really wanted to ride one.

Once equipment inside our main car was up and working, we were set. It was only a matter of time I had to get the packet of information from Gerardo. We made sure the angles we had from the cameras were correct and that the connection to the cameras were solid.

Parked only a block or two away, we watched for anything out of the ordinary around here. I made sure everyone was physically prepared to fight if we had to. I made sure they took this serious because one small mistake and all this would be for nothing. Eating only light snacks so no meal could slow us down, we patiently waited.

"You ready Justin?" Angeles asked me.

"I am. Ready as I'll ever be."

"Don't screw up bud. One wrong move and you risk getting shot. Remember we don't fully trust Gerardo because we aren't sure if he made any agreements with Jake before us."

"Angeles, you act like this is my first rodeo. I've got this. Okay? Do you have my back?" I asked him sincerely.

"You know I do. You know we always do."

The rest nodded and agreed. I was glad that I had them here. I knew I could trust them. They were always the ones there for me after I saved their asses from a fire a bomb started. But overall, I knew I could count on them. They were like family and you never turn your back on family.

Soon, it was time. I made sure to cover my vest and gun in case of emergency.

"Justin, remember, we've got you. You've got this." I nodded in appreciation.

I got out and drove in the motorcycle to the club. We made sure the meet up time would be after closing time. Usually he never closes until four or five in the morning but for this to take place, Gerardo called it an employee day to cut the work hours short.

Once I parked, I got the bag, which most likely is filled with money, Jake sent for me in order to exchange with Gerardo the information Jake wanted. I went to turn off my phone, only feeling nothing in my pockets, knowing I left it with the guys.

The place looked vacant as the last few workers left the club. The main security saw me and talked through the small radio and one followed me in. I took a big breath and waited for things to unfold. I saw another security guy go away through some curtains and come back minutes later with Gerardo. Of course I had to pretend I didn't know him.

"Do you have what I need?" I asked.

He nodded to the security guy next to me and he left, coming back with a packet. I took it and as soon as I tried to hand Gerardo the bag, shots fired. The first one made it through his hand and he instantly clenched it in pain. I immediately took cover and waited for the guys to come in. I took out my gun and went to a table and knocked it down for cover. I took a couple shots and hit one guy and almost injured another until Daniel pushed my arm down.
