Recap:

Dark glinted his eyes and used his arm to aid him in seeing through the light. However, the light got brighter and with some unexpected force, it hurled him to the floor.

"Dark, are you alright?" Daisuke asked worriedly inside.

In his mind, Dark replied, "Uh-oh... we might get caught for real."

---------------------------------------

"I'm sure there's a way out," Daisuke concluded, "If you can't see anything, what more can the police see?"

"Yeah, right!" Dark answered half sarcastically and half desperately, "And I couldn't move my legs. They're paralyzed."

"Grandpa didn't mention anything about this!"

"Probably he doesn't know."

"What do we do, now?" Daisuke tried his best not to panic.

"I don't know," Dark replied calmly, "I'm sure this won't last forever. Just a little longer..."

In a split second, tremendous amount of water came rushing inside the headquarters. It flooded there and everyone was screaming. Dark was lucky because he was able to hold his breath. He still couldn't see what was going on, but the flood seemed to be bringing him somewhere away from the police. He could hear all their screaming fading away as the flood grew wilder.

Sooner, the bright light disappeared in his sight. He opened his eyes a little wider and he could finally see everything even under the water. He was far from everyone else. He tried to open up a conversation with Daisuke. "Hey, are you alright?"

"Should I be the one asking you that?" Daisuke replied half sarcastically and half jokily, "I mean your legs are paralyzed."

"I'm fine," Dark replied ignoring the manner Daisuke answered, "I can move them now."

"Can we do something about this flood?" Daisuke continued asking, "Can we swim back?"

"No," Dark retorted, trying his best not to be effected by the speed of the flood and not to let go of his breath. Somehow, he could feel that he's about to reach his limit. Anytime, he could let go of his breath. "It's too strong!"

Daisuke was silent for a bit. He knew that he should stop distracting Dark for a bit so that he could focus more on the current circumstances. Even in the water, he had to dodge plenty of things that was carried by the flood too, and avoid hard surfaces such as walls and concrete posts, supporting the building.

When the flood slowed down a bit, Daisuke resumed, "Hey..."

"What?"

"Do you know where the flood is bringing us?"

"No," Dark replied a bit more composedly, "As long as we are not being directed to the police, it shouldn't be a problem."

"Well... you are right," Daisuke retorted, "We should probably be thankful to the flood for saving us."

"Not when we were almost killed back there!" Dark pouted. The flood was still strong enough that they couldn't fight it. Even if he paddled backwards, they were still being carried to its direction.

Finally, they reached the exit of the headquarters. The flood brought them out and left them in the bushes, outside the police parameters. The police were not aware of them, so as they were in the surroundings about that moment. Dark was lying flat on the ground, his head still spinning from the wild stream of flood they rode earlier.
