Recap:
Juvia struggled to get a better grip in it, but her arms slipped of before the portal thoroughly shrunk and vanished. The gravity pulled her down, and she started screaming, her arm still outstretched, hoping to grab on something to save her from crushing to her death.
"NOOOO! IT ISN'T FAIIRRR! I DON'T WANNA DIEEEEEE!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"WAAAAAHHHH!"
Juvia kept screaming as she was freely falling in the air, but no one was there to notice and help her. Luckily, she was able to grab on some electric wires that stopped her renewed fall.
"Phew," Juvia sighed in relief and looked up where she was holding.
Good enough, the wires were thick and the rubber coatings weren't wearing thin. If ever so, she would get electricuted.
Juvia looked down to the ground and saw several sets of roofs she could jump into. Though she was in a lower area, jumping directly to the ground could cause her severe injuries. She decided that she would take the roofs down as she got used to it while taking out on previous missions. Juvia let go of her grip on the wires, jumping from roof to roof, and landing safely in the solid ground with one knee down, supported with one hand on the floor.
Juvia stood up and turned her head around, familiarizing herself with the dimension she was dropped into. The whole place was modernized wherever she looked into. But somehow, there were things that were similar to Magnolia such as the pavements, the train station, and etc.
"This place is very different than Magnolia," Juvia wondered as she turned around in a swift motion. What she was wearing was composed of a bonnet, a long sleeved coat that ended just below her knees, and a thigh high pair of stockings. Juvia marvelled over the beautiful city of Azumano from where she was standing and said, "I wondered where he could be... Has he gone far?"
Juvia started her journey and passed several establishments. The city was quiet and peaceful almost everywhere. The built of the houses there were similar to those in Magnolia. Somehow, even in a different dimension, Juvia could feel she was at home. There was something within Azumano City that was reminiscent to Magnolia and Juvia could feel it.
Juvia shook his head and said, "There's no time to be in daze, I promised Gray that I will catch him!"
With determination, Juvia knitted her eyebrows and started running towards the hectic area of Azumano. Just as she was about to cross the road, vehicles were passing rapidly, not giving her a chance to cross.
"If I cross right now, I'll die," wondered Juvia as she backed out in fear. She continued stepping backwards until her back made contact with the wall. She leaned to it and slipped down sitting on the floor with both of her knees gathered in her arms. Juvia felt troubled, she buried her face in her palms, waiting for someone to approach and tap her. Anyone kind hearted who will openly help the lost find her way deserves an extreme reward.
Juvia waited for a while but no one approached her. When she heard the sound of a whistle, she titled her head upwards only to find out that the stoplight was now red and all the vehicles halted. Juvia stood up immediately and dusted her skirt off. She blended with the commoners who now started crossing the streets.
When everyone made it to the other side, the stoplight turned green and the cars started moving again. Juvia smiled to herself, learning one thing that was never commonly used in Magnolia. She smiled to herself and thought, "I think I now know how things work in here. Crossing the streets isn't really that dangerous."
