Elliot's POV

My alarm goes off and I almost jump out of my skin. I look at the clock. It's 6:00 a.m, and still dark outside.

My plane leaves in three and a half hours.

I roll out of bed, and get ready to leave for the airport.

I finish my normal morning routine, then get dressed. I decide to put on some light wash skinny jeans, a thin t-shirt, and some grey and black Yeezy's so I'll be comfortable on the flight.

When finished getting ready, I get my suitcase and drag it down to my car so I won't have to worry about it later.

I then notice I didn't pack a carry on, so I dash back upstairs as fast as lightning and grab a small bag. I pack a blanket, a neck pillow, headphones, a phone charger, minty gum, and a thick book to read in case I get bored.

I take a look at the clock to track the time, and to be sure I'm not running late. It's 7:15 now.

While contemplating on leaving, I spot Chester, my black French Bulldog, and remembered I still have to call the dog sitter.

I pick up my phone and search for the contact name "Gavin McCowell." After two short rings, he picks up.

"Hello?" he asks. "Hey Gavin it's Elliot. I'm running a little late but I need you to come watch Chester for a few weeks while I'm in Denmark. Is that okay?"

"Sure! I'll be there soon. Don't worry." He hangs up.

I put my phone back in my front pocket, then sit down on the couch and wait for Gavin. Chester joins me, and jumps in my lap and starts licking my face. "Haha, I know Chester I'm gonna miss you too buddy. I'll be home soon." He looks at me with a droopy face and sits beside me while we wait.

Gavin shows up 10 minutes later. I tell him everything he needs to know, leave him the key to the house, and pay him for helping me out in such a short notice.

I tell them both goodbye, then hop in my sleek black Mercedes Benz and head to the airport.

It takes about twenty minutes to drive from Pasadena to Los Angeles, so when I get there it's about 7:45. I have a while before the plane leaves, so I walk around the airport to get food and pass some time.

Around 8:30 I go through bag check and security.

The ladies at the desk go ahead and let me on the Delta plane, so I hand them my ticket and walk to my seat in first class.

At exactly 9:30, the pilots come on the loud speaker and talk about the procedure in case of an accident. "Hello passengers. These are your pilots Richard and Stan. Before we fly to Denmark, let me remind you of some things. There are four emergency exit doors on this plane. If anyone is uncomfortable sitting by one, let the flight attendants know and they will move you if seats are available. If there were an accident and we were to land in a body of water, your seat will also work as a flotation device. There are also oxygen masks that will come down if there is an emergency. Above your head is a light that will go off when it's safe to unbuckle your seat belts. When we take off, please make sure your seat belt is buckled, and your pull out tables are pushed in. We will be flying to Kansas to refuel and pick up passengers. Arrival time will be around 12:15. Passengers from Kansas will start to board the plane around 12:30-12:45. Thank you for flying with us."
