Elliot's POV

I push open the door to the bathrooms only to see eight stalls, and only one of them is occupied.

"Leighton? Can we talk?" I ask.

All I hear is heavy breathing, and the click of the stall door being unlocked.

It slowly creaks open and out comes Leighton.
His eyes were tinted light red.. most likely from crying.

My heart immediately began to sink. Why did someone so perfect look so sad?

It's all your fault Elliot. It's your fault he's upset.

"Hey.." he whispers.

I gave him a small smile and walked over to him. I gazed in his beautiful green eyes and simply put my hand on his shoulder when I felt him shiver a bit.

"I didn't mean to upset you in any way. I just thought you needed to know the truth." I said, desperate to make him feel better.

"I-It's fine. I've just got a lot on my mind." he responds.

"I understand. If there's anything I can do to help, anything at all, tell me and I'll do it."

I'll do anything for you Leighton.

He gives me a look of consideration then suggests we go back out so his mom won't be angry with us.

Kelly looks at us and her eyes widen at Leighton's face of disappointment. But, she doesn't question it. Instead, we all finish our meals in silence for the rest of the night.

After the bill is paid, we get up to leave. Still not a word has been said.

We start heading back to the hotel, when Kelly breaks the tranquility. "Well boys, I had an amazing night with you two. I'm so glad we got to spend some quality time together. And it was so nice getting to know you better, Elliot." I smile at her and suggest that we all hang out again sometime.

As we walk into the doors of the hotel, it gets quiet again, and stays that way until we reach our hotel room doors. "Goodnight Leighton. Goodnight Kelly. Thank you guys for inviting me. It was a pleasure." I say politely.

I then unlock the door to my room, and shut it as swiftly and quietly as possible.

What a night.

I stand there for a minute, regrouping from all the unexpected events that had occurred.

It was about 7:45 p.m, so I took off all of my clothes except my blue boxers and laid down under the white sheets of the bed.

I fell asleep for a while, then woke up, and was confused when I looked at the clock and saw it was 3 a.m. sharp.

I couldn't fall back asleep no matter how hard I tried, so I got out of bed, put on some sweatpants and went out on the balcony to think.

It was actually kind of chilly that night, but it didn't bother me. I sat down in one of the metal chairs sitting by the table.

I instantly went into deep thought.

All I could think about was Leighton.
But there's something I just can't wrap my head around. I've only known him for a few days and I haven't been thinking about anything but him.
