Dear Those Who Still Read This Book Even Though it Took Two Years To Finish,
Emily and I deeply apologize for the long awaited ending of The Trip to My Heart. We started this book late one night probably eating a chicken salad sandwich and being bored out of our minds at her grandma's house, because we didn't have WiFi and her granddad was in the basement watching the TV we usually watch movies on.
It started with the account name (@shadylamp), then what we wanted the book to be about. I believe the book took so long to finish because of how unplanned we were with it and us not really knowing where we wanted it to go. It was our eighth grade year when we started this book and as we are in the closing of our tenth grade year, we have finally finished it.
We both wanted to end it a long time ago, but we had no idea how to. This was the only "book" we have ever written, and because of how inexperienced we are with the whole writing a book thing, it didn't go as planned, but it went well with how unplanned we were.
We plan on editing this book this summer when we have time, which is not a promise because we will be literally everywhere. Emily will be in Europe most of the summer and then I have marching band. I may add a few things here and there, but I hope you all enjoyed this little thing we call our baby, because even though it took forever to write, we did put a lot of time into it.
I now pronounce this the end of The Trip to My Heart, and the beginning of something Chaotic, I Suppose. ;) wink wink.
