You stood on the bridge, again. Looking down at Bucky fighting three people. The one in the red, white, and blue suit looked familiar but you couldn't tell where you knew him from. Although you still had most of your memories some things were still fuzzy. A buzzing noise filled your ears and your head snapped up to see a Quinjet hovering over you, immediately a grenade was in your hand and thrown in the air. It hit the Quinjet and exploded. 'You follow the orders, or we'll wipe you.' Hydra's words echoed through your head again as you ran along the bridge scouting your target. You'd seen Bucky get wiped numerous times and his screams terrified you so you did what they told you without hesitation. The target was a girl about 11 years old who is cowering behind a car clinging to her mother. At first you hesitate to pull the trigger but remember Bucky's screams and shoot both the girl and her mother-

You scream and sit bolt upright. Your heartbeat quickens and the tears stream down your face. Bucky sits up in your shared bed and takes in your crying figure. You and Bucky had lived together in an isolated cabin in the woods for 4 months now and had never slept with out each other. But that was all they did. Sleep. Nothing else but sleep.

"Y/N, what happened?" You shake your head and continue to sob.

"Hey, hey, it's ok. I'm here, you're ok." He wraps his metal arm around you, pulling you to his chest.

"They didn't e-even force m-me to." Your hands clench his shirt as the sobs wrack your body. Bucky kisses the top of your head and lays down, taking you with him.

"Don't worry, it's all over now." His metal arm secured you to his chest and his other arm stroked your hair. Bucky had nightmares too, but while you would wake up crying and screaming he would do things in his sleep and more than once you had to use your powers to keep him from killing you. You knew it had to hurt to be electrocuted in your sleep but it was either that or be choked to death. Bucky may have been a super soldier but you could shoot electricity from your hand and absorb energy into your body. At least that's what HYDRA had done, there was also the fact that you were able to conceal any emotion from people and keep all the broken pieces of your lives tucked away. Most nights only one of you would have trouble sleeping and the other would comfort the one who had trouble sleeping. Only occasionally would you both wake up from a nightmare in need of condolence and never had you both had a nightmare at the same time. It was like this every night and it was a wonder you didn't wake up the people in the cabin 2 miles away from you. Finally after your sobs had turned to sniffles you fell asleep to the rise and fall of Bucky's chest.
---------

The next day you were alone until lunch. When Bucky walked into the cabin you didn't even look up because nothing seemed wrong. You continued to type on your computer until Bucky walked in.

"Hey Bu-"You eyed the blood seeping from his lower abdomen. "Bucky! What happened?!" You rushed over to him and forced him into the couch, then, after situating him you ran to get the first aid kit. You peeled off his shirt and examined the wound, the bullet was lodged deep into his stomach. "Bucky..." He winced as you touched his skin gingerly. "Bucky there's no way I can't fix this...we have to get to a hospital." Bucky shook his head.

"I-If we go there Hydra can find their records, plus no one like my metal arm." You sigh knowing he's right.

"I like your metal arm...but as much as I hate to say it you're right." You tried to joke but it was useless, neither of you had a ver good sense of humor.

"Steve can help." He murmured.Your head snaps up at the mention of Captain America and you give Bucky a skeptical look. "Trust-" He coughs up blood and you weigh your options. Steve would probably not try to kill you but Steve was well...Steve. You know Bucky doesn't have much time and settle on asking Steve for help. You wrap his stomach in a bandage and help him to the car. Starting the ignition you speed down the dirt road that leads toward the city.
