THE UNWANTED HOUSE GUESTS.
Tia's POV.
I was already a little drunk, by the time we arrived at Becky's party, thankfully the party was already in full swing. Probably due to the fact it's already 11pm, the party started at 8pm. But let's just say myself and Lydia got a little carried away, with the two bottles of wine we found in our fridge.
As we stepped inside, we were immediately hit with the stench of alcohol, on one side of the open hallway people were dancing like complete idiots, on the other some were slumped on the ground, clearly in no fit state to party on, and some people were trying to get it on thinking they were being discreet. There was also some strange dude stroking the walls and whispering sweet nothings to the floral wallpaper pattern.
I want what he's having.
Just kidding. That's something I definitely wouldn't be doing tonight. I'm not that kind of girl. I also wouldn't be getting it on with anyone. Men are not on my radar right now.
Lydia grabbed my hand and dragged us into the kitchen, through the masses of people and began pouring us a drink. First things first when you get to party, get a drink.. But never ever drink the shit mix, you can almost guarantee some idiot has slipped in a few roofies and is waiting to prowl from a corner.
Trust no one fear everybody.
Poor guy stroking the wallpaper clearly had been at the mixer.
"Ladies... So glad you made it!" Becky said as she approached us, she engulfed us into a hug as we greeted her.
Becky was a cool girl, she was in one of Lydia's drama classes. Lydia had formed a little bond with her lately, let's just say Lydia was a very close friend of Becky's brother Jarred.
"Thanks for inviting us." I told her politely, knocking back a shot that Lydia was holding out to me.
"You're welcome. Just please make sure this one doesn't throw up in my mothers wardrobe this time please." She pointed an accusing finger towards Lydia, I laughed at the memory.
Great times.
Lydia threw her hands up in defence, "excuse me where else was I supposed to throw up? Tia locked me in there for over an hour." Guilty. I did do that.
It was for her own benefit though, she was about to make a complete embarrassment out of herself.
"And excuse me I recall you fucking crying like a baby for a good hour because you'd never been to Narnia, where else was I gonna lock you?" I fired right back, I thought I was helping her out.
"Rebecca what kind of party is this if you don't have any vodka?" A new voice interrupted us, I knew that voice... Jarred Kingsley, becky's twin and 1/2 of the bad boy duo, the other half being Lucas Mitchell. Let's just say they were quite well known in the area, for what exactly I don't really know, but Lydia felt the need to remind me every single day how popular they were round campus, even though they didn't even go to our university.
Jarred was ok I guess, he'd always been friendly to me, his friend Lucas though, I wasn't so sure of, any time he makes any kind of conversation with me, it's either to pay me a compliment or to ask me out on a date, I find it a little overbearing at times.
Jarred was the guy I had to hear Lydia sleeping with through the thin walls of our apartment by the way, It was meant to be just a one night thing, and although Lydia will never admit it, she was so in love with him it drove me insane, but both were to cowardly and stubborn to admit it to each other.
