Chapter five

"You done?" Carter asked, stepping up behind me after packing his bag.

"Yep" I nodded and slung my duffle bag over my shoulder, following him out of the room towards the living room.

Carter quietly pulled up the left of one of the windows in the living room and stepped out. I stepped out after him and followed him for the huge walk around our boundry walls. We both climbed the wall and jumped down into the small alley kind of space in between our wall and the neighbours.

Now you will ask me why we're not sneaking out of our house out through the main door like any normal person would. I'll answer your question with a question. What would we reply to anyone if they spot us casually walking out of our house at 1am? Tell them we're just going for a walk?

Carter suddenly stopped, making me halt in my steps beside him and find a black Mustang standing in front of us. The window rolls down and none other than Victor poked his head out smirking at us.

"Hop in" he nodded towards the back door. Here goes nothing.

We climbed into the back seat and Victor took off into opposite direction from our house. I watched while Victor pulled out two silver guns from the dashboard, making me and Carter tense up.

We calmed down when he handed us each one gun.

"Welcome to the gang ladies, this time you won't leave" he winked at us through the review mirror.

"Inspite of the moonlight being there if you can't see, let me inform you that I'm a male" Carter sneered at him.

Victor just chuckled and turned a corner, entering a deserted road.

"Why do they want us Victor" I asked again.

"I already told you that didn't I Siea?" I gritted my teeth at the nick name coming from his mouth.

"It's Sierra. And wasn't this gang going on well without us?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"It was but our boss just wants to get stronger you know" he smirked, shaking his head. I scoffed at his reason and went back to staring out at the window.

"You alright?" Carter asked.

"I'm fine" I replied, blocking any emotions from entering my voice. I'm sure Carter noticed but he didn't say anything, knowing that I needed time to myself.

The rest of the ride, everyone kept quiet except for Victor who kept blabbering his ugly ass off about pointless crap anyone would get bored of.

"Zip it" I glared at Victor, having enough of his annoying voice that made my ears hurt.

"It's already zipped babe" he winked at me, obviously taking the wrong meaning of what I said. I rolled my eyes at him.

"I meant shut up Victor"

The car came to to a stop so I stepped out before he could reply. Carter got out after me.

In front of me stood a huge mansion, just as huge as mine and Carter's. Though this one's painted all Brown with peach designes while ours is all black with white designs.

Slinging my bag over my shoulder, I walked upto the main door with Carter next to me.

Victor opened the door with a card and we followed him in. All the furniture inside was either peach, Brown or off white. Victor lead us upstairs to a room at the end of the left corridor.

"This is your room" he nodded towards it and handed Carter a card which I assumed was the pass to the door.

Carter opened the door and I followed him in. The rooms slightly different from ours back at home so I wasn't that surprised.

"Back to the kill and run life huh" Carter muttered and chuckled. I laughed and nodded, plopping down on the bed.

"Go freshen up, I'll go after you" I nudged him towards the bathroom. He nodded and walked in, closing the door behind him just when someone knocked on the door.

I frowned and got up slowly. Quietly stepping towards the door, I heated the shower in the bathroom still shut off, which meant Carter heard the knock too and was quiet behind the door.

I placed a hand on the knob, the other on the gun stuffed at the back in my jeans, which Victor had given me earlier. I finally pulled the door open, tightening my fingers around the handle of the gun.

"Hey Siea" I gave Victor a blank look.

"What" I asked in a bored voice.

"Oh nothing" he shrugged and walked, in pushing me aside.

"Let me rephrase that, why are you here Victor" I turned to him while he sat down on the bed.

"Where's Carter?" he ignored my question.

"Dead" I replied.

"Really?" he smirked at me, amused.

"Killing your husband isn't really a good thing Siea" I turned to see Carter walk out of the bathroom.

"Well I didn't" I replied, pointing to him.

He chuckled and shook his head, putting on a shirt he pulled out of his duffle bag and walking over to me, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me to him once he reached behind me.

"Why are you here Victor?" he turned his attention to Victor who was glaring daggers at Carter's hands around me. Now I see why Carter did that.

"Nothing much, just came to meet Siea" he winked at me and got up, walking to the door.

Before he reached the door I grabbed him by his collar, almost choking him.

"The names Sierra" with that I pushed him out and slammed the door shut, hearing a thud on the other side of the door, confirming my suspison that he fell down.

"See? That's exactly why I'm not gonna go for a shower first" Carter nodded and flopped down on the bed.

"Right" I chuckled and walked inside the bathroom to get a shower.

Once I was inside I stripped off of my clothes and stepped into the shower, instantly calming down at the steady flow of warm water hitting my skin.

From outside I heard the door knock again and groaned. Does someone have to come only when one of us is in the shower?!

I barely heard anything happening outside because of the water. I just ignored it, knowing that Carters fully capable of taking care of himself.

After a few minutes I heard the door shut again and stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around myself and walking out with my dirty clothes in hand.

"Who was it?" I asked Carter who was sitting on the bed with his back against the headboard.

"Someone came to ask us if we need anything" he shrugged. I nodded and walked into the walk in closet, dropping my clothes into wash basket in the corner of the closet.

All types of new clothes sat there in the closet ready for us. Looks like this was being planned for a long time now.

I grabbed a crop top and a comfortable bra with a pair of shorts and a matching underwear. After changing into my comfortable clothes, I walked out into the room and placed my gun on the bed side table before crawling under the covers.

My hand reached out and Carter chuckled, grabbing it and pulling me to his chest, hugging me.

I sighed and snuggled closer to him.

No one other than Carter knows that I love cuddling. Not even my dad.
