Chapter twenty

A shiver ran through my body at Carter's voice.

"Really?" he whispered.

I gulped and nodded slowly. His thumb caressed my exposed skin where the shirt rode up by his hands around me.

"And why is that.." he further questioned, making me blink multiple times.

"I...I don't know..." I stuttered.

He placed a small kiss at the nape of my neck, earning a quiet moan from me. My eyes widened in shock at my response.

"Sweet..." he whispered again.

"Say it again..." he muttered.

"W-What..." I stuttered.

"Say you love me.." he clarified.

"N-no..." I replied.

"Say it." he said in a demanding voice this time, making me shiver.

"No..." I repeated.

He whirled me around and pushed me up against the wall, earning another gasp from me.

His lips hovered over mine, mercilessly torturing mine.

"Tease." I muttered.

He smiled slightly before slowly resting his lips on mine.

Tingles filled me, and I sucked in a breath. Unlike the time I kissed Bryce, Carter's felt...genuine...

I reached my hands behind him and winded my fingers through his soft hair, moving my lips against his and kissing him back.

His hands moved up from my waist to my hair, his fingers getting lost in them. He gently tugged at my hair, making my head tilt back.

He grabbed the opportunity and moved to kiss down my throat, earning another moan from me.

He came back up and kissed me befor resting his forehead against mine. The noises of us panting filled the room.

His lips slightly curved up into a small smile.

A knock came at the door, gaining our attention. Then it snapped in my head. Bryce.

I turned to look at Carter in panick. He immediately understood my reason of panicking and went to the door to open it.

I stayed rooted in place and stared at the door as it opened. Thankfully though to my relief, Jacob stood at the door.

"Hey" he greeted Carter with a smile.

"Hey Jacob. Need anything" Carter asked kindly.

I walked upto the door and held Carter's hand, smiling at Jacob.

Somehow he seemed to have gotten the message and smiled back.

"Just came to see if Siea is fine" he answered.

"I'm fine Jac..never been better" I reassured him.

"Alright then I'll take my leave" he nodded and turned to walk away.

"Actually please stay, if you don't mind you could play a game of cards with us" I stopped him.

He frowned and looks at me for a while before he smiled and nodded, walking inside.

"Alright then, let's see who can beat me at this game." He winked and sat down.

I smiles, shaking my head at his childishness. Grabbing a pack of cards from the bedside tables drawer, I sat down opposite from Jacob while Carter sat to my left. That made us three form a triangle.

Let the game begin.
