Chapter twelve

"Siea, you stay in the house and guard it" Diego points to me. I glared back at him.

"I'm not a guard dog Diego, give me a better job" I snapped at him. He just gave me a blank look.

"Either this job or you be my assistant, very very personal assistant." he replied with a smirk.

"The second option most probably sounds appealing to you but unfortunately I'm not here to please you so I'll take the first one" I retorted and walked out of the living room.

Having nothing else to do, I grabbed my phone from my pocket and dialed Dads number. It rang two times before he picked up.

"WHAT?!" I heared him tell from the other side. I slightly frowned.

"Dad wha-" I starstartedt.

"Oh I'm sorry Siea I didn't see the callers ID" he immediately apologised.

"It's alright dad. Is someone bothering you?" I questioned him.

"Just someone not doing their assigned job" he simply replied.

I nodded even though there was basically no one watching me.

"So how's everything going" I sat down on the couch and crossed my legs.

"Quite well to be honest. Other than clumsy workers and an annoying wife, I'm perfectly fine" he chuckled.

"You sound awfully tired dad"

"Yeah. I'm fine though. No worries."

"You should seriously get some rest you know" I suggested.

I noticed an apple in the fruit basket kept on the coffee table and grabbed it, only to toss it in the air and catch it before repeating my actions, not to eat it. I hate Apple's.

"I'll do that when I have less work to do sweetheart" he sighed.

"Well you better get all the work done as fast as you can and get some rest then" I shrugged.

"With your mother here I don't think my works ever gonna get over" he wearily chuckled.

"True." I nodded.

"How's everything going there? Don't you get bored alone at home?"

Only if you knew dad.

He didn't know anything about me being related to any gangs. Him being my foster father, I never really keep much contact with him. But he's the kinder one of my foster parents so yeah.

"Everything's fine dad. And no, I have quite a huge house to entertain me" I chuckled.

Did I mention I'm amazing at bluffing?

"Oh that's nice. How's Carter"

"He's as good as ever dad." I replied.

Suddenly my phone started vibrating. I frowned and pulled it away from my ear to see Jacob calling me. I put it back to my ear.

"Dad I'll call you later, I have some work"

"Alright. Take care."

"You too dad"

I ended the call and answer Jacob's.

"Hey Jacob"

"Hey sweetheart, how are you"

"I'm fine, why'd you call?"

"Just wanted to see if you're alright dear"

"Oh, how's everyone there"
