Chapter thirteen

"Don't you have anything to do?" I glared at Bryce and tried snatching my book away from once again. Curse him for being taller. Which reminded me Carter was as tall as him. Ugh!

"Yep. Annoy you." he replied and moved the book further away from me.

Suddenly the book was snatched from his hands and I turned to Clinton who gave it to me. I instantly smiled and took it from him, moving away from Bryce.

"Now that's called true friendship" I pointed towards Clinton and glared at Bryce. He just shrugged.

"So how have your days here been so far" Clinton asked.

"We haven't really found anything but we did go on a mission to destroy a gang that he'd been struggling with for the last few months" I replied and put my book back in the drawer.

"She even gave Diego a 100 volts for annoying her" Bryce smirked and ruffled my hair, only to get a smack in return.

"Wow. I pitty that guy at times" Clinton scrunched his nose up.

"You shouldn't really pitty him. He's a Satan in the body of a human" I pointed out.

"True that" Bryce nodded.

"When are we gonna get ahead with any of this?" Clinton raised an eyebrow at the two of us.

I grabbed my gun from the back of my jeans and got up, all the while placing my index finger on my lips and motioning them to be quiet.

I quietly walked towards the door and opened it just in time for the person to fall inside the room. I stared down at the man who fell.

"Spying?" I simply questioned.

He vigorously shook this head and replied with a quiet no. I aimed the barrel at his head and asked again.

"Spying?"

"No"

I pulled off the safety.

"Spying?"

"Y-yes!"

I grabbed him by his collar and pulled him up before closing and locking the door and dragging him into the room. He yelled when I threw him in front of the chair Clinton was sitting on, giving him a blank look.

"Whom were you spying for" Bryce asked and pulled out his own gun, playing with it.

"B-Blake" he replied.

Disgust and regret filled my veins for ever trusting that guy now.

                  *FLASHBACK*

"Welcome to your new home sweet hearts" the man pushed us inside the huge mansion.

Not like we really feel welcomed.

"Where is this place" I glared at him.

"A place where you'll be staying for the rest of your lives" he winked and started walking upstairs.

Not really having an option, we followed him when he gestured for us to. He turned left once he reached upstairs and stopped in front of a door at the end of the corridor.

"This is going to be your room" he pointed towards the door.

I grabbed Carter's hand and walked in, not wanting to stay around the man any longer than we already had been.

"The boss will be here to see you in a while" and with that, he walked back downstairs finally leaving us alone.

"What have we gotten ourselves into?" I groaned and sat down on a chair beside the dressing table.
