Night Out

"Who hoo!" I shouted, running out of the hydro-loop, "Home free!"
"It's not really home free," Taylor corrected, "If we just ran away from home."
"Hey, it's not his home," Travis defended, "But Taylor does have a point..."
"Shut it," I warned.
"Or what?" Travis taunted.
"I don't need bionics to beat you up," I stated bluntly, "And just wait until I become a red."
"Ooh! I'm so scared!" Taylor cried, feigning fear.
"I know that people say 'never give up on your dreams'" Travis said, "But if your dream is an acting job, then you should probably give up on it."
"You know what? Let's just go somewhere and have fun for once," I suggested forcefully.
"Hey, the academy's fun!" Taylor protested.
"But that was Daven-fun," I responded bluntly, "This is real fun."
"Fine," Taylor said, "I remember Bree going on and on about malls..."
"Really?" Travis asked, "Do we have to?"
"Well, do you have a better idea?" Taylor asked.
"I remember Adam going on and on about laser tag..."
"Really? Do we have to?" Taylor asked in the same mannerism.
"I remember Douglas going on and on about compromises," I said, "Let's try that."
"Fine," Travis said, "Laser tag, then boring girly-"
"Then mall!" Taylor finished, "Good God you're hopeless."
"We all are if we stay just outside the hydro-loop entrance all night!" I butted in (again), shouting at the end of it.
"Okay, we'll go now, geez," Taylor muttered before speeding off. I followed suit (I only crashed into five buildings!) and Travis geoleaped there.

Once we got there, I explained the game to them.
"Okay," I said, "Basic premise. Shoot people with the gun. Don't get shot by hiding in the maze. And for the love of the lord don't use your bionics!"
"Why not?" Taylor asked.
"Because it ruins the game," I replied, "And I said so. Good enough?"
"Whatever," Taylor grumbled, strapping on her vest.
"Not even if I really want to become intangible?" Travis pleaded.
"Why would you do that?" I asked, "They're lasers. It doesn't matter whether you're intangible or not!"
"Oh. Whatever," Travis grumbled, experimenting with the gun.
Finally, the game started. As soon as I got into the maze, I ran for my favorite hiding spot. It was a little triangle that was supposed to be a mirror to shoot behind you. However, I had squeezed in years ago, and since then smashed a little hole in the mirror to shoot people. Turns out it was only a one way mirror as well. Suddenly, I heard footsteps coming. I poised my finger on the trigger, ready to fire. But when I saw who it was, I never pulled it.

"Did he really leave us for dead?" Taylor asked Travis, looking at her status, "And 54 hits? Come on! Give me a break!"
"Yeah, you know how Garrett told us no bionics?" Travis said, doing a flip for seemingly no reason, "Yeah, I've been using my analytical vision the whole time to dodge the shots. It's working out great!" He shot his laser gun at the guy who had tried to shoot him.
"Bullseye!" He exclaimed, pumping his fist into the air. Taylor just rolled her eyes and kept shooting, hoping that she was getting somewhere. She was having serious doubts.
Suddenly, Travis cried out, falling to the ground.
"Oh my God!" Taylor exclaimed, "You got hit! Big deal! EVERYONE DOES! I think." She kept shooting (and getting shot) for another minute before realizing that Travis had never responded to her. She also didn't hear the constant shuffling of his feet as he had been dodging shots.
"Travis?" Taylor asked, a tad bit of worry in her voice as she stopped shooting and went over to where he was laying.
Some of his shirt was singed off and Taylor flat out ran toward him.
"Oh God, are you okay?" Taylor cried as she reached him. Another girl noticed and rushed over.
"What happened?" she asked as she knelt down next to Taylor and looked worriedly at Travis.
"I don't know!" Taylor said, "It looks like he got zapped by electricity. Like..." Krane's Lightning Fingers! Taylor thought. Was there someone with bionics here? She looked at the girl, and thought she saw a glimmer of triumph before the expression went back to worry.
"It looks like bionic electricity," Taylor said, a bit louder. She knew that the world knew about bionics. Nothing bad could come out of- was that panic that flashed on the girls face? Taylor got up, and balled her fists.
"Who are you?" She demanded.
"Who am I?" the girl said evilly, "What? Garrett never told you about me?"
