Traditions

I was walking down the hallway when I heard a scream. Then, a very angry Bree ran out of the room.
"I said, 'NO ROMAN CANDLE WARS!'" she shouted.
"Suit yourself!" Adam called back. Then the whole island shook.
"Roman candle war, huh," I remarked, jogging up to Bree.
"It's becoming a tradition," she groaned.
"Well, at least you won't have to deal with them tonight," I remarked.
"How?" She asked.
"When was the last time you left the island?" I asked. After a moment of silence, I continued.
"You, me, and Adam. We're gonna watch the Mission Creek fireworks tonight."
"And if neither of us want to?" Bree inquired.
"Remember last week when you and Adam were-"
"We don't need to go there!" Bree cut in, "I wanted to go anyway. And I'm sure Adam wants to as well. I'll tell him that there are puppies for sale, or something."
"Okay," I confirmed, "If Roman Candle wars can be tradition, so can this."

-A Couple of Hours Later-

"Where are the puppies?" Adam asked in desperation, after scanning the area where the fireworks were.
"Oh come on Adam!" I said, "You've gotta stop falling for that one. Do you really think that Bree's gonna let you get a puppy?"
"Garrett. Do not drag me into this one," Bree growled.
"Bree. It was your idea," I mocked.
"Ooh look! Colors!" Adam squealed in awe.
"Adam. How old are you?" I asked.
"Right," Adam said, clearing his throat, "Uh, the fireworks are startin- so pretty!"
"It was worth the try," I said, following Adam as he got closer to the fireworks.
As they were going off, Adam asked, "Is it sad that it's only the three of us?"
"I don't know," Bree said, "Garrett's not as fun to throw across the room."
"Hey!" I protested, "I can turn intangible and I'm proud of it!"
Both Adam and Bree then started cracking up, and I looked down. Sure enough, I was waist deep underground.
"I hate intangibility," I grumbled, turning tangible again and deciding to wait before getting out.
"I'm sure we'll get us all back together," Bree commented, bringing us back on topic.
"I hope so," I said, "In the past year, we've all kinda lost two siblings."
"Yeah," Adam said.
"We've gotta do something," I said, "I mean, what is sitting around accomplishing us?"
"I don't know," Bree said, then proceeded to put an arm around Adam and an arm around me, "But we've got each other, and that's better than nothing."
"It is," Adam and I agreed, and the final firework exploded.

July 4, 2016
Let's pretend that the date there is accurate.
Anyway, I'm back after, well, all of June. However, I'm getting a bit of writer's block. The situation's a bit strange though. So, hear me out:
I have about three big chapters planned, but I want them spaced out. I'm struggling to think of anything else. So, if you have any ideas, please share them with me. I'll totally credit you, and I be able to work with anything (pretty much).
Anyway, I hope you had a good 4th of July (If you're American). Mine was wifi-less, hence the late update. If you're British: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I've been wanting to do that for quite some time.

Anyway, don't be afraid to suggest! I don't bite.
Best regards,
AJ
