You'd think that a bionic academy would be filled with adventure and surprises every step of the way. Nothing would ever go as planned, and you would constantly be living on the edge.
If only, if only...
Sitting in Taylor Krane's One Liners class, I repeated this phrase to myself for the umpteenth time. Seriously, with my talent and Fern's incessant monologuing, I really don't think I need a class like that.Just keep talking. I'll wait here...
See? Five seconds.
Anyways, as you've probably gathered, academy life here is boring, especially with Taylor and Travis being mentors along with Adam and Bree, Fern and Heather being evil, and Leo being left on the mainland.
However, it was going to get a lot worse. So, the good old TTG squad had gotten back together, and we were just walking around during our break.
"You know, sometimes I miss being a student," Taylor mused.
"Trust me, you don't," I interjected, and then quieter to Travis, "Especially in her one liner class."
"I heard that!" Taylor protested loudly.
"Anyways, have you heard about the rumors?" Travis asked.
"What rumors?" Taylor asked eagerly, eating up the supposed gossip.
"That Adam and Bree are planning a huge party," Travis explained.
"They are?!" I asked, half excitedly.
"Yeah, but they're not saying why," Travis explained, "Something about it being a surprise."
"According to Leo, the last time they planned a surprise, he was locked in their lab," Taylor recounted.
"I'm sure they've gotten better," I reassured.
"Please," Taylor said, "I'd kinda like to see this flop."
"Well, have fun with that," I said, "Make sure to get it in 4K." I sped off. And only hit two corners! This day is looking up!-THE NEXT DAY-
I was slowly walking to Taylor's One Liner class. I'm usually five minutes late to that class anymore, and I'm the first one there. My dorm is too close to her classroom. If only it was farther away, if only...
Anyway, when I was almost there, an announcement was made.
"Everyone, immediately report to the commons area. NOW."
Thank. God.
Suddenly going from a slow walk to a full out sprint, I ran to the commons area. When I got there, there was music playing, the area was completely decked out, and the was a giant cake there. My face lit up.
Once everyone got there, Bree got up on a chair, and Adam pushed buttons until the music paused.
"Okay everyone!" Bree called out, "I know that it looks like an event, but it's not. We just felt like celebrating for no reason. So let's get started!" The music resumed.
I waited for a just kidding or a follow up statement. It never happened. My face fell and I left.Travis's POV
The party was awesome! It was such a break from mentoring. We then went to have the cake. Just then, I noticed that Garrett, the guy who can never have enough cake, wasn't in line. Confused, I checked my phone to see if he had texted about it. I didn't see any messages, but I did see a calendar event: THE ONLY GUY WHO HAS A KNOWN BIRTHDAY'S BIRTHDAY-today. I looked at the cake, and realization struck. I grabbed Taylor and started dragging her away.
"What the heck Travis!" Taylor protested. I showed her my phone.
"Oh," she said.Back to Garrett's POV
I was sitting on the bean bag in my dorm (because why not) when there was a knock.
"You know I never lock the door, why do you bother," I asked half heartedly.
Travis and Taylor then came in.
"Hey," Taylor said, sitting down next to me.
"We know why you're sad, and frankly, we don't blame you," Travis said bluntly.
"I'm not sad..." I tried to say cheerfully.
"It was just a coincidence, don't feel stuck up," Taylor said.
"We brought cake," Travis said.
"You guys are the best friends ever," I said, and we had our own little birthday celebration in my dorm. Fifteen, here I come...

August 2, 2016
Again, happy new month! Why am I so bad at this...
Anyways, GOOD RIDDANCE 13! I'm finally fourteen, Garrett is fifteen, and I'm comfortable with these ages. We grow up so fast...
So, I do have another chapter concept, so you can expect another chapter this month. Hopefully. Also, sorry that this chapter was so bad. I don't know what possessed me to write this, but once you get to a certain point, I'll take crap over nothing. So bear with me, next chapter will be better.
So, Adam's been busy blowing up used balloons for me and Garrett, and yeah. Year Fourteen. Here goes. One Day, I'll Update On A Schedule.
Until Then,
AJ🐶
