Reunited and Stronger

Chapter 6 ~Adams POV~

I rubbed my eyes and looked at the time

8:30am

Grunting I got out of my bed and headed to the kitchen so I can start making breakfast for my brothers. I call them the rugrats for my amusement. When I got to the kitchen I opened the fridge and got out some eggs, bacon, and milk for the three of us. As I was cooking they sluggishly entered the room and sat on the table.

"Mornin Adam" The twins muttered. I have twin little brothers named Kenneth and Ben. Since my dad is a busy guy and mom passed away soon after the twins were born I had to take care of them. Makes it easier since they're also going to the same school as me. Our school is an elevator boarding school where the elementary, middle, and high school are sorta packed together so it's easier to drop them off to their building while I walk to mine after. It's almost the end of summer though so I don't really have to worry about it for another week or two . Even though it is summer vacation and should be at home we only stayed for a month since that was how long dad could be home before he had to head back to work. When he had to go back to work we went back to the dorms.

"Morning rugrats, what're you guys gonna do today?" I asked them as I put our breakfast down on the table. Their eyes instantly lighted up and gobbled down the food.

"We're gonna go adventuring around the campus" Kenneth says as he downed his milk.

I don't mind them going around campus really. Since it's almost time for school the security staff are inspecting the campus already. Plus honestly this place is basically home for them. Unlike me, they've been going to this school for as long as they remember where as I've only been here since freshman year.

I wiped my mouth with my napkin and grabbed the empty plates and set them in the sink. "Okay, since you guys are heading out I'll join you. I'm gonna check out the library for a sec with Josh"

"Okay" the twins say in sinc. Honestly, my brothers are so well behaved, I wonder why Danny and Devan can't be the same those fools. Just yesterday I had a call from Danny and Devan about how they were wondering if they could join me for dinner with me and my brothers after they just came back from going to sonic. Apparently they got the wrong order but didn't want to correct it and just gave it to someone who'd eat it. I swear they'll never survive in the world.

As I was finished getting ready I waited for the twins at the front door. I heard fast footsteps when they appeared in front of me and proceeded to walk to the campus. We parted by the fountain in the center of the school and headed to the library. Barely anyone uses it but I guess Im pretty thankful for that. I'm sick of all the stares I get so I treasure those moments where I can let my guard down. When I walked in I went to the back to see josh laying on the floor reading Vampire Academy. I scoffed and started to scan the shelves.

"So going back to the vampire stories huh?" I said to him amused. If anyone saw this side of him they'd probably faint from shock and shake their head in denial. I don't really see the shocking part though. 'Oh no, the bad boy duo likes to read! Call the police!'

"Hey! Don't go judging me Adam. Besides, Rose Hathaway is my spirit animal."

I smirked "wow, I thought you'd say something like Adrian Ivishkov but that works to"

"So you have read it! You can't even judge me!" Josh says in a yelling whisper kind of way.

I chuckled as I got a book and was about to start reading until I noticed something odd. "Why do you look so happy? Judging from where you are you're at the part where the strigoi are attacking"

"Oh uh, nothing really" he nervously says "So, Fault in our Stars man? Are you sure you can handle it? You'll never be the same way again"

I shrugged "I'll take the challenge"
