"Yay! Cookies are done!" I said with glee.

Big surprise, I love to bake. Being really smart (sorry for being a bit narcissistic) and being homeschooled leaves me with a bunch of free time. Not like im being cliche on purpose but I'm actually just a cliche person in general so that's a good mental note to take. Sometimes I don't even eat some of the things I bake and just give them to the kids at the nearby daycare center. Plus baking also reminds me of the Covert twins back in California. The two idiots were always able to put a smile on my face.

Danny and Devan Covert, the identical twins in our group. I say identical but we're all able to tell the difference between them. Once you get to know them you can really see it. Two people who are exactly alike yet polar opposites. For example, Danny loves to bake and is a perfectionist when it comes to cooking. Devan on the other hand loves anything with a motor and probably one of the boldest people you'll ever meet. In public though, they're both pretty quiet and reserved.

I remember when me and Danny would look up cool new recipes while his brother Devan would wait and eat the finish products like the pig he is. Our other friend Macy would be there to but sometimes I don't know whether or not she was there for the food or for Devan. As I was taking out the cookies from the oven I heard my phone buzzing on the counter. I quickly placed the tray of cookies on the counter and rushed to answer the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey Red" the twins say in unison

"Oh hey! I was just thinking about you guys."

"You were?" They said in unison once again. I swear, I can write a whole term paper on this twin telepathy thing. Very amusing nonetheless.

"Yeah, I'm baking cookies and started thinking about the times when me and Danny would bake and Devan eating like a pig" I say with a slight smirk.

"Hey!" Devan says while Danny laughs in the background.

"She isn't wrong bro. I mean, whatever happened to that cake I baked last night?"

"It wasn't just me, Macy joined in to" Devan muttered.

"You are not bringing your girlfriend into this. You know she was only following what you were doing. I swear, if you guys weren't such a cute couple I'd say you were being a bad influence." I said sarcastically . I was only being half true though. Devan was an amazing influence on Macy, and Macy was an amazing influence on Devan. Without her, Devan would probably be lying in a ditch somewhere half dead from a motorcycle race or something. I remember when he didn't really like Macy as anything more than a friend, now he can't think of a moment without her. They are couple goals if I do say so myself.

"So what's up? What do my favorite twins want to talk about?"

Danny sighs. "Me and Devan are having a hard time picking a place for take out. I want pizza but Devan wants to try this new place called Buffalo Wild Wings."

"Dude cmon! It literally has the word wild in the name."

"What's that supposed to mean?!"

"It means we'll have a wild night!"

I hear Danny scoff, "Just cause the word wild is in the name doesn't mean we'll literally have a wild night"

"How abo-"

"Doesn't mean we'll gain wings either! You thought that with Redbull and it didn't end well."

"Not my fault their advertisements were misleading." Devan says mumbling

"Advertisements are never true and you get easily mislead by everything"

"Pft, name one time"

"You thought there were going to be trains and pandas in Panda Express, Sonic the Hedgehog at Sonic, and that Dominos pizza were shaped like actually Dominos"

Devan scoffed. "I only asked for one time"

"RED" they said together through the phone. I was casually munching on my cookies while they continued with their brother spat. I've gotten so used to this I've developed the ability to just tune them out. I try not to most of the time though cause it does get pretty hilarious. Note to self I should probably add more chocolate chips.

"Shouldn't you guys talk about this with Macy or something? I mean I love you guys but she's usually the tie breaker during these debates right?"

"Yeah but she had to get ready and said to ask you" they said together once again.

Why that clever bitch. Great, now don't get me wrong, I love the twins, they're just.... Not... The brightest...... Beings.
So basically, give Danny a bowl and whisk and he turns into the next Gordon Ramsay. Give Devan a tool box and a car that needs fixing and all of a sudden he's a genius. But god forbid, and I am not joking with this, if they're ever set out into civilization with no one to help them.

I mean, they got lost in Walmart...... A month ago, and called me for help, who's in New York...... I had no ability to help them and they chose to call someone whose literally across the country. I don't know why they always call me for help whenever no ones around. I'd love to help them, but realistically, I can't do much from where I am.

I sighed as they continued to bicker over which place to eat. "Look, why not have both?"

There was silence for a while. I was beginning to think I broke them when all of a sudden I hear them yell out , "BOTH! THANKS RED! You really are a genius!"

Then they just hung up the phone leaving a very confused Amber in her kitchen staring at her cookies. God help those boys I thought. I then got out my phone and started texting Adam.

Me- whatever Devan says, Buffalo Wild Wings will not give you a wild night

B- what

Me- or wings

B- I'm confused

Me- I am to

B- this is Redbull all over again

Me- I swear if he lands in the ER or something
