It's the first day of school and I'm currently inspecting my uniform in front of the mirror making sure I dont stand out too much. It wasn't that bad really, it was just a regular white buttoned up collard shirt that's tucked in to a black skirt. I had the skirt reach to my knees and neatly put on my tie and fake thick rimmed glasses. I didn't even bother with my hair or make up, I guess I look plain enough. I look down and see G running around my legs. Laughing I bent down and picked him up.

"whats up buddy? Wanna eat?" He replies with a bark and I carry him over to the kitchen where I set him down so I can refill his green bowls with food and water. When I finished I heard my phone ring from the counter. I went to pick it up, not even bothering to check who it was from.

"Yup?"

"Hey Red, I need help."

I sit down on my couch as G plants himself on my lap, "okay, what's up now Danny?"

"What color tie should I wear, silver or purple?"

I sigh, "this again? Where's Macy, she should be with you guys."

"She's busy helping Devan with his hair. Now quick, silver or purple." He says impatiently

"I don't know Danny, what do you want?"

I hear him sigh in defeat, "here's the thing, I don't even know if I want either of them"

"Then why would you-" I stop myself. It's no use trying to argue about this now, "how about black, it's your go to color anyway"

There was silence for a minute until I heard the sound of ruffling fabric going through the phone, "FOUND IT," he screams almost causing me to go deaf, "thanks Red, owe you lots."

"You're wel-" and he hangs up. Really, those boys, I just can't. I'm pretty sure Macy is probably having her hands full with just Devan, adding Danny is just too much. How they will ever survive in society, I have no idea, but sadly since I'm stuck with them it's also my problem. At least I'm not alone, Macy wants to strangle they're heads whenever they're being indecisive or just plain unreasonable to. Like shopping with Danny is just a no, and everyone knows that. Like for some reason he likes his shirts to be a certain fabric. It doesn't matter if they look exactly the same, if it isn't what he wants he won't get it. He will literally take an hour choosing between two blue shirts debating which one is softer. At some point Macy just leaves him in the store and he won't even notice. And Devan, I don't even want to get into Devan right now. I may help out with Danny but Devan is all Macy's problem.

After my mental rant about the twins I grabbed my bag and went to the door. I waved G goodbye and hurriedly went to the front so I don't miss the bus that was going to the direction of my school. When I got in and paid my bus fair I sighed in relief when I noticed only a few people were seated inside. I went to the back and took out my pill case and a water bottle. I placed a pill in my mouth and chugged it down with my water. Now here's a reminder, I may be with my friends again, but I still I have a problem with social anxiety. I may not have to take it as frequently as I did before but I do still have to take one at least once a day. I even bought a cute container for them since I carry them with me almost 24/7. Hey, you'll never know when you can have an attack or something.

When I reached my stop I stepped out of the bus and took a moment to take everything in. I never really payed much attention to the campus when I was here last time. It was actually fairly big, like a small town. That's a given I guess, since it is a boarding school. It wasnt exactly a modern style school though. It was more traditional. I saw a couple of student heading towards a certain building so I decided to follow them. The building said "Gymnasium" and on a glass door a paper that had the words "Orientation room" was printed on it. When I entered I was overwhelmed with the amount of students inside. I've never been in such a loud room. Ironic, I know, I lived in New York and I'm saying something like that.

I saw an empty seat on the left side of the building with not so many people around it and quickly claimed it. I discreetly looked around to see the types of groups the school had. You know, like that scene in mean girls when Lindsey Lohan was naming all the cliques in the cafeteria. It wasn't that hard to tell who was who. The Jocks and cheerleaders were upfront probably discussing how their summer was, the nerds, or scholars I prefer to say, were right behind them, then the foreigners, and then the trouble makers in the back who could honestly give no cares about school.

It didn't take long to find Adam and them. They were on the opposite side of where I was and attracted a lot of attention. The freshman behind me were talking pretty loudly about them and I decided to listen.

"Who are they?"

"I don't know but the guys look hot"

"The girl is hot to"

"But she's look pretty close with that one guy, you think they're dating?"

"Aww man, he's taken?"

Typical, it thought. I continued to listen but then I heard someone suddenly interrupting them, "Them? They're a bad group freshmen, so don't get involved. Not like they'll let you anyway, they keep to themselves." I started to get angry and for the first time I turned my head to the people behind me to see who was bad mouthing my friends. The jerk was a jock, proudly wearing his letterman jacket that said "basketball: captain" on the side of his chest. The girls were looking at him awestruck but I was too curious as to why this guy was talking shit about my friends to pay attention.

As calmly and curiously I could ask I said, "They're a bad group? Care to expand on that?" Okay, maybe I lied when I said I asked it as calmly I could. There was some obvious hostility in my words.

He looked at me surprised but then shrugged it off. "You to? Look, to sum it up they're one of those people who like to party 24/7, and not the fun legal way like normal people usually do."

Bullshit. I was about to retort back with even more annoyance but was quickly interrupted by the principle. The jerk waved bye to the freshman girls who were drooling at him and walked to the front where his friends were. On the back of his jacket it said "Jake." I'm guessing that's his name, gotta make a mental note of that.

I looked back to where my friends were seated and mentally smiled at them. I know they aren't the type of people to let things like this get to them. Macy and Devan were being all cute like how they usually are, Josh and Danny seemed like they were laughing at something that was on a magazine they were holding, and Adam was on the side leaning on the wall as he was typing something on his phone. At that moment my phones screen lit up. It was a text from Adam.

B- You liking things so far?

Me- So far I guess, some people are pretty annoying.

I look up to see Adam reading my text and smiling as he replies

B- Yeah, I should've warned you that there'll be a lot of people here that you might not like.

I mentally groan

Me- no shit
