Marinette stepped onto the school campus with a heavy sigh. Laughter erupted at her entrance and she hung her head low to avoid any extra attention. Chloe had obviously made some kind of rude remark, but normally they don't have this much of an effect upon the other students.
The doubtful girl took a step towards her best friend, Alya, only to be brushed off by the only person she truly trusted other then her leather clad partner, Chat Noir.
"Marinette, stop faking your pain for attention!" The words her best friend- or ex best friend blurted out struck her like knives as she stumbled backwards and burst into tears. She sprinted through the doors and out into the street, cars honking at her as she shuffled across the street only to collapse in the dewy grass on the other side. She felt a hand rest on her shoulder and she shoved the comforting stranger away, "G-go.. A... A-away!" She stammered, trying to collect herself in front of the caring bystander. She opened her eyes warily, only to see two vibrant green eyes staring back.
