Marinette watched intently as the boys gloved fingertips ran over her side so he could aid the wound. She shivered as the cold leather came in contact with her skin.

The boy carefully ran his hand over the bruises that still lined her back and sighed softly under his breath. The bluenette tilted her head to the side, questioning his sigh. "I should've never let you get this hurt.." There was guilt in his voice, and that about tore the girl apart. She spoke up, "No.. It isn't your fault, Chaton." She tried reassuring the boy but he just shook his head continued aiding to her injuries in silence.

"It's not." Marinette spoke louder, knowing that he had heard it but wanted to back up her statement. "It was my fault for walking down that street, it was my fault for going down past the alleyways for a short cut.." Her voice cracked as she sighed, ".. It's not your fault at all."

There was a sigh and no answer. The two stayed in silence for a few minutes before Chat actually spoke, "Of course it's my fault! I'm a superhero, I'm supposed to protect you! He shouldn't have even been able to put his hands on you!" He snapped slightly, the guilt still hanging in his words.

Marinette looked up at the boy who was fighting back tears and she pulled him close. She rested her chin atop his head as he buried his face into her chest. She ran her fingers through his blonde hair as he let out a shaky sigh, "I-I should've protected y-you.."

Seeing Chat like this just about broke the girl. He genuinely thought he was the reason for all this, and it was his fault she almost got kidnapped. The bluenette pulled the boy in closer to her and held him close to her chest. And that's where they stayed for the rest of the night.
