Marinette began to panic within her alter ego as Chat stalled for time so he could find out Ladybug's identity. The boy knew it wasn't right, but continued to pry at the girl's time. Marinette planted a kiss on Chat's cheek to shut him up and hooked her yoyo to a far away building so she could escape. She flew through the air with her yoyo, only to detransform and fall short of her balcony. The yoyo disappeared and all of a sudden her hands were empty and she was plummeting to the pavement below her.
Marinette braced herself for hard impact on the ground but only found herself in the arms of her kitty. His face was painted a bright red and he held her close before pouncing up onto her balcony to set her down. "What happened? Who pushed you?" The concerned boy pushed for answers, while Marinette scrambled for a lie. "I-I..." She trailed off, gathering her bearings. But instead of speaking she pulled the boy into a tight hug. There they stood in silence as Chat held her close to his chest. The girl trembled with fear within his protective embrace. The boy nuzzled his nose into the bluenette's tousled hair, taking in her scent.
After a while, the boy pulled away, his hands still placed on her shoulders. "How 'bout we go inside out of the cold, okay?" His warm comforting voice hung in the air as the two lowered themselves through the hatch and back into Marinette's room. Marinette let out a yawn as she sat down on her chaise chair, patting the spot next to her for Chat to sit. The chair wasn't too big, so the cat barely fit. So to problem solve, the boy pulled Marinette into his lap and held her close. "What happened..?" The blonde questioned after a few minutes of silence, his voice quiet and comforting. But the girl was fast asleep already.
