Marinette shoved the boy away, "Chat, what are you even doing here!?" Her sudden outburst made the hero jump. She turned on her heel and began to pace, waiting for the superhero's answer.
"I wanted to know if you're okay, you know, I find a damsel in distress, I refuse to leave until she is completely okay and happy."
The smart aleck comment both enraged and saddened the girl. Hot tears began to roll down her cheeks uncontrollably. "C-Chat why do you even care?! Why... Would someone as important as you.. Care about some useless citizen who can't do anything right, who can't even talk around her crush, who can't even stand up to a pint sized rich girl!" And with that Marinette slid down her wall and burst into tears. Both hers and Chat's hearts were shattering and neither of them knew it.
The concerned blonde knelt in front of her, "Mari.. I care about you." The boy held in his anger at the thought of Marinette hating herself. "You're an amazing person and you have no point in putting yourself down. You're incredibly talented, intelligent, kind, and beautiful." Chat stopped in his tracks. Ugh Adrien. You just screwed yourself over. You know not to slip up like that. The boy thought to himself within his shock.
Marinette say wide eyed at the compliment. "I... T-Thanks Kitty.." Kitty! Seriously Marinette!? Wow. So creative. So original. The girl stopped the conflict in her mind and sighed before latching herself onto Chat and hugging him tightly.
