Marinette awoke alone, and a wave of sadness fell over her that her kitty had to leave. She slid out of her sheets and stretched, only to be rewarded with a stabbing pain. The girl walked to her mirror and examined where the pain came from. A freshly bandaged wound on her side. She gently unwrapped the bandages to reveal a carefully stitched cut. Oh Chat, you always know what to do.
She let out a heavy sigh and turned towards her desk to get a start on her homework. The neatly stacked and finished piles startled her, compared to her normally messy and cluttered desk. She looked over beside them, and there lay a piece of paper folded over with her name written on the front. She opened it and read:

Chat NoirThe bluenette stood there, appalled at his sweet writing. She hugged the letter to her chest and beamed. "Looks like someone has a new love interest!" A small voice singsonged.
The sudden voice startled Marinette and she jumped. She turned to see Tikki floating next to her and she rolled her eyes, "No tikki! Of course I don't like him! He's just always that flirty.. And cute." Her voice trailed off and she snapped out of the love stricken trance she'd been in when her alarm clock sounded. 7:45
Marinette ran around her room, gathering up some cuter clothes than usual. She expected to see Chat today, so she wanted to look good. She let her hair down from the pigtails it was always fixed in, and lightly curled it before grabbing her bag and running out the door.
