Chat stood paralyzed in fear for Marinette as he faced this man. The anger boiled inside the boy as he twirled his staff between his fingers.
'I'm gonna kill him... No.. I'm not a vigilante, I can't kill him.'  The blonde fought with himself before pushing the man against the wall, pinning him there and tossing the shiv aside.

Chat pinned the man's hands to the wall above, "I swear if you did anything to her!" He snapped, a low growl escaping his throat as he came face to face with the kidnapper. He gave the man a punch in the face, before stepping back from him and letting him fall to the ground. "You made a mistake trying to hurt her." He snarled as he turned to Marinette, examining any wounds, "Are you okay? What did he do to you?"

Chat's concerned questions hung in the air as the girl could only look down at her feet, "C-Can you just bring me home..?" Her teeth chattered and her voice wavered in the pouring rain. Chat simply nodded and picked the girl up so he could hold her close to his chest. She wrapped her legs around his waist and rested her head on his chest. He could feel the rapid beating of her heart as she pulled him close. He held her there for a second before pouncing up to her bakery balcony and helping her down the ladder into her bedroom.

Chat sat down on her bed and continued to hold the trembling soaked girl close. Marinette spoke into his chest, her voice still cracking as she tried to collect herself. "T-Th... Thank you.. For s-saving me.." He voice was muffled within the leather fabric of his suit. She lifted her head from his chest and finally noticed the gash. Blood soaked the suit around it. Her eyes widened, "Chat! You're hurt!" She ran out of the room and into the bathroom, pulling a first aid basket from a cupboard. She entered the bedroom again holding a tub of bandages and antiseptics. She sat down in front of him on the bed and sighed, "I can't help with your suit on.." She wearily replied before realizing that Chat had already unzipped his suit enough so she could patch up the wound in his shoulder.
